Taken from KBFH broadcast recording. Inspired by the huge commercial success of WHAT WERE ONCE VICES ARE NOW HABITS album, the band delivered such a powerful and tight performance throughout the states. It's a tremendous loss for them (and US!) not to release the live album from this period officially... Enjoy!

Serious Young Insects - House Breaking (1982)
Studio Recordings @192
Out of Print
Serious Young Insects were a short lived Australian pop rock band formed in 1980. The group released one studio album and three singles.
Serious Young Insects formed in 1980 with Peter Farnan on vocals and guitar, Michael Vallance on vocals and bass guitar and Mark White on vocals and drums. Australian musicologist, Ian McFarlane, described Serious Young Insects as a "quirky, three-piece Melbourne new wave band".
In May 1982, they released the album, Housebreaking, and three singles. Lisa Perry of The Canberra Times praised the album "several times I had to check the cover to see if there were not also some session musos or others contributing to the sounds I was hearing. For a three-piece combo, these lads sure make a good sound". Richard Pleasance, a classically trained guitarist, was a fan and briefly joined the group before it broke up in the following year. ~Wiki
LP Released 1982
*I received a copy of this LP as part of a gag gift at a christmas party around 1987 or so. The fellow who gave it to me hosted an Australian exchange student who brought this record with her. He teased her about it to the point that she gave it to him when she left. I in turn received it from him as a gag when i was about 15 years old and fell in love with it. Years later when I ran across Peter Farnan on MySpace I recounted the story to him and he replied and told me that they had quite a bit of live shows recorded to tape that they wanted to eventually transfer to digital. ~tex d-lux

Here's another Missing Persons concert from my collection.
This is from the Rhyme And Reason tour. October 5, 1984 from an FM broadcast. Also known as the 'Give, Right Now' bootleg CD. Excellent clear sound and includes some talk from the DJ announcing the show when it first broadcast.
Not edited like the official release called 'Live From The Danger Zone' which got rid of all the talk between songs and even left out a song (Clandestine People).
Set List:
1) Mental Hopscotch (3:02)
2) Noticeable Ones (3:44)
3) The Closer That You Get (4:29)
4) Give (5:22)
5) Clandestine People (2:52)
6) Right Now (3:26)
7) All Fall Down (3:58)
8) Tears (4:01)
9) I Like Boys (2:52)
10) Walking In L.A. (4:28) $
Encore:
11) Destination Unknown (3:25)
12) Words (4:15)
13) No Way Out (4:11)
