57 years old today.

I know!  I can't believe it either. haha.

Kitchen Reno Day Fifteen

Today The Mister and I have been working on the dining room side

of the kitchen.  He assembled cabinets and installed lighting.

I matted, framed and hung some vintage botanical lithographs

that I got at an auction this summer.  

Today the triplets turned 21!

Here's a peek back at them at 2 days old.

Hard to believe that 18 lbs of baby was inside me just

 48 hours before.  ha! You can imagine how uncomfortable

I was.  lol....but I carried them to 37 weeks and they

were big, healthy and able to come home right away.

I. however, wasn't as well off as they were.  The day after

this picture was taken for the local newspaper, I coughed

and split my C-Section incision wide open and had to

go back into surgery to have it repaired.  It delayed our

going home by a day, but after that we were all good to go.

Happy Birthday, boys!

We're doing the real celebrating in a few days.

Birthday!

Our favorite part of birthdays around here is Spencer

helping us sing the birthday song.  He's nonverbal, but

does love that song and manages to get the 'you' out

at the end of each line.  He gives a deep, off-key 'Woo'

and smiles the whole time.  Hilarious!

I always think it's fun to get the appropriate number of candles

on the cake.  The older you get the more heat it gives off!

And the brighter the glow!

Twenty One

Lauren has surprise plans for Taylor all day Monday for his birthday,

 so we had our family celebration this evening!  

1. The lovely Lauren. 
2. Spencer blowing out the candles.  He's the designated candle blower at all birthdays. :)  He's telling Dad that he didn't want any help, either!
3. Daniel, Taylor's best friend,...always comes for bbq ribs and garlic mashed potatoes.:)
4. A hug from Harry.
5. The happy couple...haven't stopped smiling since their engagement yesterday. :)
6. Harry, making us all laugh, as he tried to blow out the candles.  He was actually sucking air in, instead of blowing it out! hahaha.

The cake was a new recipe, voted as the best cake ever

on Pinterest.  I'll share pictures and the recipe soon.
