What's For Dinner?

 Here's what we've been eating lately.....

1. Rotisserie chicken with roasted green beans and mushrooms.
2. Grilled sandwiches.
3. Grilled salmon, sauteed veggies.
4. Creamy chicken on rice.
5. Grilled burgers.
6. Clean out the fridge salad.

Spring Weekend

1. The crab apple trees are just about to burst open!
2. Still cool enough for jeans but warm enough for bare feet.
3. Cooked some yummy meals.
4. Cut three boys' hair.
5. Enjoyed watching Tiger in the sun dappled grass.
6. And who Tiger was watching in the branches above!

Cucumbers

Most of my veggie garden is a total fail this year!

Too much rain?  I think the two months of almost nonstop rain

 was too much for everything, everything except the cucumbers!

Yep, got plenty of those!  I'm trying to pick them small, but I

  picked all of these in just one day...and I only have one plant!

I made a salad that was really good...

Chopped cucumber, sweet bell pepper, sunflower seeds

crunchy rice noodles and an Asian flavored salad dressing.

That was so good I think we'll have it a few more times.

Refrigerator Bread & Butter pickles sound pretty good, too!

What's For Dinner?

Here's what we've had for dinner lately...

1. Spinach salad with grilled chicken and Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette. 
2. A Chicken Florentine inspired dish served on spaghetti squash.
3. Grilled Salmon.
4. Garlicky chicken and mushrooms on rice.
5. Grilled burgers with a side of red potatoes and fresh green beans tossed in sauteed bacon.

No recipes...just inspired by looking in the fridge.

Except the strawberry dressing, which is on yesterday's post.

It was yummy, btw!  Tonight we're trying it as a chicken marinade.

If I sit down as soon as I plate up the food, The Mister has started

to say, "Don't you want to take a picture before we start?" ha.

This And That

1. Tequila Lime Chicken Wings (Tyson) and a clean-out-the-fridge salad.
2. The twins, Cinder and Shadow.  Sometimes, it really is hard to tell who is who.  ...mostly, we go by personality.
3. The Mister's tea drawer.  It's conveniently located near the Zojirushi.  What a spoiled man! ha.
4. A tropical breakfast...fresh pineapple on coconut Greek yogurt. 
5. Mr. Cardinal.
6. Domino, in the coveted 'basket with a view' on my kitchen desk. When my laptop is open, it's a very secluded spot.

Clean Out The Fridge Salad

Romaine, broccoli, grapes, ham, onion, craisins,

 feta, pumpkin seeds and poppy seed dressing.

1. Skies of blue.

4. Salad, Waldorf.  One of our favorites of fall.
