Yesterday was grey, rainy and very windy!

Today was windy again but with sun!

As I sat at my desk most of the day, I could see clouds 

moving across the sky at a very fast rate of speed.

It was kind of fun, like a silent movie (except for the

howling wind!).  Here's just one creature...

a sea lion about to dive behind the crab apples. :)

The Sky, Lately...And Other "S" Things

The Blue Hour

The Blue Hour is the period of light, about 40 minutes, when the

 sun has just set and the sky and remaining light takes on a predominately blue hue.  

A navy blue sky.  Beautiful! I always love that hour when

 the sky is one of my favorite colors.  

This particular night, the navy blue was accented with two pink stripes.

Mini Marshmallow Madness

I couldn't help but think of mini marshmallows toasted

over a pan of brownies or rocky road chocolate sheet cake

as I saw these clouds the other day!

Of course, it could be suds in a bathtub or cotton balls

on a river.  But marshmallows and and chocolate are

pretty hard to beat. ha.

Rainbow

We sure had fun at the NASCAR race yesterday!

Mainly because our guy, Jeff Gordon, won the race!

There was a threat of thunderstorms that totally 

missed us, so we had nice weather, a great time

and came home with suntans, freckles, and smiles.

We even had a huge, magnificent rainbow

take us home.

The only downer was that I charged my camera

battery the night before and forgot to put it

back in my camera before we left. 

So, I was forced to use my phone camera, which I'd

 never used before!  Not only is the quality much less, but

my finger was over the lens on most of my shots!  Geesh!

 So, you get to see the rainbow, since this shot came out best.

We had so much fun, we're doing it again in August...

travelling up to Michigan.  Can't wait!

We're back to the polar vortex with cool temps and

a breeze today!  Feels like fall!  Lovely!

Lovely, isn't it?

No wonder when I was a little girl playing Cowboys and Indians,

I wanted to be an Indian girl and have the name Pink Cloud. ha.

Tonight's Sunset

I worked an late auction today and this was the sky

on my drive home. I just had to stop and get a picture!

I had my new camera with the longer lens with me.

There's no point and shoot with that thing like I used to do

without taking my eyes off the road. haha. 

No, I had to pull over and roll my window down so the

lens wouldn't hit the glass.   But it was worth it!

Isn't that lovely?  I was driving toward the darker clouds.

Looks like more rain is on it's way!

Last night the moon played Hide-n-Seek behind clouds,...

while the sun was setting on the other side of the sky.

Then this morning, the trees played Hide-n-Seek...

...in the fog!

And I got to watch!
