From RayR: 15mm Grand Alliance Infantry Regiments (126 points)

From Ray:
Uh oh? Tamsin ahead of me, this will help though to redress the balance of the force.
Entry 13 is 3 units of Grand Alliance infantry. The first are 18 figures for Cannon's Irish who fought with the Scots at the battle of Killiecrankie.

The second two units both 21 figures and both Anglo-Irish regts who fought on the Williamite side at the Battle of the Boyne. The first blue flag is that of John Mitchelbourne's Londonderry foot, while the pink flagged unit is that of St John's Londonderry foot.

All figures are once again from Essex and I made the flags!!!
A worthy riposte to Tamsin's latest entry, Ray, and beautiful work as well!

These three regiments will give Ray 126 points which includes bonus points for his excellent banners. This certainly helps to close the gap but will still not be quite enough to overtake Tamsin...

From RayR: 15mm Jacobite Foot - MacGillicuddy's Regiment (40 points)

From Ray:
Here's my third entry into the challenge, 15mm once more, an 18 figure Jacobite foot regt for my Grand Alliance Jacobite army, this is the 12th foot regt and my last Jacobite foot regt.....until I feel the need for more that is!!!!
The figures are once again from Essex Minis and are based up for Beneath the Lilly Banners 2, and of course the flags are my own. I have made flags for another few regts and it was a toss of the coin as to what would be No 12, MacGillicuddy's won!

Well, you just can't beat the name can you? Awesome job Ray. As I mentioned when you sent these in, the grey coats with the red facings is very smart looking and the banners, as usual, are excellent as well.

These lads will give Ray 40 points to add to his total getting allowing him to hopscotch past Fran. Nice one!

From RayR: 15mm Grand Alliance Cavalry (52 points)

Ray sends in this excellent unit of English cavalry to add to his Grand Alliance / Nine Years War collection.

From Ray:
Here's my 2nd entry into the challenge. 2 Squadrons of Sir John Lanier's Horse or The Queens regt of Horse.
Later they were known as the 1st The King's Dragoon Guards. They were present at both The Boyne and Aughrim in Ireland, then tranferred to Flanders where their commander was killed at the Battle of Steenkirke in 1692.
The figures are from Essex Miniatures, bases from Warbases and flags by my good self!!

Wonderful work Ray. This is such a colourful unit and your flags are brill as usual. (What is the chap, second from the right, doing? Falling wounded? Making sure his zipper is up?) Also, when are you and Richard putting on your next game in this period? With your collection as it stands you must be able to put on a fairly large sized engagement now.

This regiment of cavalry will give Ray a base of 48 points but I'm adding another 4 for the banners, so 52 total. Well done!

from rayR: 15mm Grand Alliance Dutch Garde du Corps Cavalry and Fitzharding's Dragoons (90 points)

Ray sends in this very nice cavalry unit depicting the Dutch Garde du Corps from the Grand Alliance.

These are 15mm Essex castings and the flags Ray made himself. Nicely done!

These lads served with William of Orange at the Battle of the Boyne.

Next up is two stands of horse holders from Fitzhardings Dragoons.

These are 15mm Irregular castings.

Horse holders are not required for the rules he's using ('Beneath the Lily Banners') but Ray thought they would help dress-up the table a bit.

These are 15mm Irregular castings.

This lot will give Ray 90 points for his roster. Great work Ray!
