mobile lounges (people movers) at Dulles International Airport have been operating since John F. Kennedy was president, and they continue to be an important intra-airport transportation tool

The original mobile lounges, which date to the airport’s opening in 1962, were constructed by Chrysler Corp. in association with Budd Co. They can carry more than 100 passengers, both seated and standing. Nineteen remain in service, officials say.

Plane Mates, which date back to 1971, can load passengers directly onto aircraft as well as provide intra-terminal transport. Currently, 30 are in service.

Ryan Reynolds, outstanding guy... showed up to the John Candy biopic debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in a replica of the “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” Le Baron Town and Country

Reynolds has populated his movies with references to John Candy.

Easter eggs are in the “Deadpool” films, Deadpool utters the “I like me,”

A Chrysler LeBaron appears in the background of another scene.

He even licensed the book “The Canadian Mounted: A Trivia Guide to Planes, Trains” so it could make a cameo in all the “Deadpool” movies.

“John Candy: I Like Me,” will debut on Prime Video on Oct. 10

This replica was made by BCDelorean, a movie car rental company, who, for god knows what reason, is only posting about this on their Tik Tok channel, not facebook, not you tube, not Instagram..

.. but they did post a making of the replica video https://www.tiktok.com/@bcdelorean/video/7459431674561023237 where they show the 3 cars used to make this one replica. A Dodge 600 donated the red interior,

the rear bumper extension for the continental kit... is extremely ridiculous

and a LeBaron Town and Country in Tacoma donated the wood panel side trim
