Jackie Coogan, WW2 vet, the original Uncle Fester actor... had Barris make his LTD better

When the U.S. entered World War II as a result of the Pearl Harbor attack, Coogan requested transfer to the AAF as a glider pilot because of his civilian flying experience. He was sent to glider school at Lubbock, Texas, and Twentynine Palms, Calif. Upon graduation, he was made a Flight Officer. He then volunteered for hazardous duty with the 1st Air Commando Group being formed by the famous Col. Phil Cochran. In December 1943, the unit was sent to India where, using Waco CG-4A gliders, it airlifted crack British troops under Gen. Orde Wingate during the night aerial invasion of Burma (March 5, 1944), landing them in a small jungle clearing 100 miles behind Japanese lines. Coogan returned to the United States in May 1944 and was discharged in December. 1945.

variations in the way the 440 six pack hood have been built (factory fiber glass option in 1969, when buying a race car was legit from a dealership)

obviously these are not all Mopar made.

I bought one from Year One and put it on my Super Bee in 1996. I loved that lift off hood, and will get one for my 69 R/T probably next year or the year after that

looks like a shifter boot mounted in the driver side air box... so far, I've only found that is a relief area to allow the brake master cylinder on a 69 and 70 Hemi Coronet to not hit the air box (thank you Brett!)

I've got a 69 R/T, and it's got some weird funky drivers side replacement air box, so now every time I look at another N96 equipped 69 Coronet, I am wondering if I'm going to see the usual, or something weird

Ever see a 1967 Impala SS427 hood? I never have until now, they only made 2100 of them. Thank you Lee! Thank you Kim!

Since you might not read the comments, I want to post what Lee wrote, as it's great information:

Originally, the 3x2 427 was going to be available on the 1967 SS427. But GM cancelled all multi carb engines except for the Corvette for 1967. That's what the hood means: Tr-Carb.

BTW, those hoods sell for between $10,000 and $20,000 depending on condition

David's Duster... very cool

there just are not many 1971 or 72 Dusters out there in this great shape... but on top of that, it's got the 6 pack Bee hood? Sweet!
