before models were made of plastic parts cut off of trees, these 3D paper ones were the 1st to come along of the build it yourself type. This is the most elaborate one I've found in this collection of paper ephemera so far meccano














I'm not into model cars myself, never have been. I've never collected Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars either, and never made these paper craft ones. 
But I know awesome when I see it... and this is the most elaborate paper model I've come across yet.
I realized when thinking about what to say about this one, that guys do seem to be hooked on models. Even so far as to make our own out of sheet metal, lego, pine wood derby basics, model airplanes, Meccano, and ship models etc
