awesome is paying $100 for a machine you want...

and getting 137 dollars in change out of it

Reminds me of the true story of the people that bought furniture at the thrift store. Found a LOT of money in it, as the woman who told her kids to keep the furniture when she died, had put the cash which was their inheritance, IN the sofa, the recliner, the books, the end tables, etc.
The morons gave all the old furniture away because they didn't like old stuff.
Morons.

Old people don't trust banks... From 2020 to 2025, a total of 17 banks have failed in the U.S.. The failures occurred as follows: 4 in 2020, 0 in 2021, 0 in 2022, 5 in 2023, 2 in 2024, and 2 in 2025 (as of the latest reports). Plus 5 credit unions

all a person needs for entertainment, is a LOT of time to play games or watch streaming tv or movies, a great internet connection, and someone to bring you food. Of course, the money to blow to make all this happen instead of going to work every day is also required

here's some screen shots from the you tube video someone made of a media preview of the game Roadcraft

a quick look at the video isn't enough to get me the understanding required to play the game, there just seems to be too many things to learn to figure out how to work the controls.

But the point seems to be reading the mission in the upper right corner and getting the sawmill running to build a bridge to get to the next level

Great near photo realistic imagery of 4x4s, and the area around them

booth games at SEMA are a welcome sight, they add fun to the endless walking, and there can be a lot of time spent looking though halls at things you have no interest in, like speakers, mall crawlers, or "new products"

depending on the day, the winner of this putting game, could walk away with a sock monkey, a 10mm craftsman deep socket, a bottle of the below tequila, or a bottle of JD Makers Mark, and on the right side of the above backboard, you can see what the grand prize was each day, for getting a golf ball into EACH of the holes in one try

if you could make the paper airplane flu through the upper left hoop, you would win a free product. Only 2 people did, in all 4 days. Those airplanes on the table were utterly unpredictable

The most enthusiastic, hardest working guy at SEMA, was this barker, who worked the Fireball booth. The line was LONG, just to play with him, and he got participants to clap, chant, dance, and enjoy the spinning wheel of chance (which he so slyly stopped with his left elbow where he wanted it to, depending on their enthusiasm and level of cheer) to win the BIG gift back of the entire sample line of products, or just a single bottle of window treatment, etc.

I kid you not, standing ovation of respect for his effort all day, every day, with every one that stood in line. I doff my hat, please join me!

I think there were at least 4 booths with the cornhole game

I'm shocked I've never seen or heard of this game before now

I wish I'd learned of it when I worked at the dealership (6 years until laid off because of Corona Virus killing off car sales) I would have bought one from Ebay and given it to the guys in the sales office< Barrett, Gary, Wes and Kyle
