Ever hear of a Super Quad? Not me. I love this hobby, learning new stuff all the time
Flowed 1250, and this was the rear in a dual quad set.
This was prepped by Dick Harrell.
The SuperQuads are rare, only made for 2 years, 1969 and 1970, and only available over the counter.
They were 850 and 1000cfm in stock form respectively.

This 1950 VW Bug convertible with it's original engine, recently found in a barn somewhere in Austria, is one of the rarest ever produced, it's one of only nine examples coach-built by the Austrian company Austro-Tatra

1926 Packard with an interesting factory feature, that's dangerous to have functional now, the Fuelizer, a 1920 invention
the Packard Automobile Company engineers perfected a device which is simple and solved the problem of heating the 1920s low-grade of gasoline to insure complete combustion.
The Fuelizer consisted of a chamber surrounding the intake manifold, in which a small amount of gasoline is exploded and then drawn into the manifold thus raising the temperature of the gas to a high degree.
The gasoline is drawn into the Fuelizer chamber by a small pipe leading from below the butterfly valve, is circulated at high velocity in the chamber by the explosion caused by the spark plug in the chamber, and then goes through a small opening into the manifold where the usual wet and cold mixture from the carburetor is converted into superheated gas which explodes entirely upon ignition.
Franklin also used a pre-heater

I've never heard of the '79 Camaro Z28 IROC Sprite pace cars until now. Only 25 were made for pacing the IROC races

It's a constant source of enjoyment to me to learn about cool late 60s stuff, like this rare Cyclone GT 500 sales promotion - The Atlanta 500 Driveaway Program, part of the NASCAR race track promotional programs Mercury ran back in 1968 and 1969.
If you purchased one of these specials you received two tickets to the Atlanta 500 on March 31, 1968, a Mercury race jacket and hat. The selling dealer drove the lucky buyers to the track where they would take delivery of their new car.
There were 160 GT 500s delivered that day!
Once at the track the new owners were treated to breakfast and photo opps with Cale, Lee Roy and Tiny Lund. The new owners took delivery on the track in front of the 80,000 race fans and then took two laps around the Atlanta race track with Cale Yarborough leading them!
The Cougar GT 500 was taken to the NASCAR Charlotte 600 race on Memorial Day weekend in 1968.

1 of 6 specially made "Broadmoor Skyview" 59 Cadillac limos commissioned by the Broadmoor Resort, with only 10,460 miles
The Broadmoor is an iconic Colorado Springs resort, historic and the longest running Forbes 5 star, AAA five diamond resort. It opened in 1918, and among other interesting things, commissioned Maxfield Parrish (one of my favorites https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search?q=maxfield ) to craft a painting of the hotel.
the Broadmoor Hotel capitalized on Pike's Peak with the race to the top, and the cog railway up the 14,115 foot mountain.
Frederick Law Olmsted’s firm, most famous for designing Central Park, designed The Broadmoor’s grounds
And I just discovered that I've posted about these limos before.... but dang it, one hasn't been up for auction before https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2019/12/the-broadmoor-hotel-which-capitalized.html

rarely seen Cross Boss manifold with the top cover removed, a factory over the parts counter option, the retail example of Ford’s SCCA Trans-Am-winning homologation effort, manufactured by Buddy Bar Casting in California
SCCA tech inspectors ruled the Inline Autolite four-barrel illegal.
Fortunately, Mustang team owner Bud Moore had been developing his own intake setup simultaneously with Ford’s efforts—Moore’s intake being known as the “Mini-Plenum.” Moore’s setup used a traditional Holley carb, so he wasn’t pushing the rules in the same manner as Ford. After the Inline was DQ’d, the Ford team made a quick switch to Moore’s intakes, and the rest is pretty well history—Bud Moore Boss 302s won the 1970 Trans-Am manufacturer’s championship.

the Bright Pioneer Museum in LeGrand, California, a forgotten museum at an almond farm established in 1945, has one superb variety of tractors that will be selling at auction this fall, the whole list of what's for sale won't be available for months, but it has a San Fran street car
A 1926 Rumely Truck! I'm sure you're familiar with their kerosene burning Oil Pull steam powered tractors, but I've never heard of them making trucks until now
I will guess that Euclid don't come to auction very often!
I will also guess that someone has made a coffee table encyclopedia book of tractor seats, just from collections like this
Yes, really, a Buick truck! I've never seen this one before, or even heard of it when I posted about Buick tucks https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2017/09/buick-made-trucks-1910-1922-and-couple.html

I haven't even heard of an OSI before, and when I came across this one yesterday at the LaJolla Concours, I forgot to take a photo of the front! No matter, this same car was photographed extensively by Bonhams.
The brainchild of Luigi Segre, owner of Ghia, and Arrigo Olivetti, owner of automotive component manufacturer Fergat, Officine Stampaggi Industriali – shortened to OSI – set up modern production facilities in Turin, adjacent to Ghia's operations.
Its first commissions were for the Innocenti 950 Spider, and the station wagon variant of the Fiat 1300/1500 sedan, the Familiare.
https://cars.bonhams.com/auction/25221/lot/104/1967-osi-20m-tschassis-no-ex54ge01574/ for their total write up about this car
In January 1965, Ford's European subsidiary, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, commissioned OSI to build a successor to its flagship Taunus Coupe. The new luxury coupe was to seat four in comfort, and use the fourth-generation Taunus 20M executive car chassis and as many of its components as possible. It would be sold and serviced by Ford dealerships. (and was the reason this car was titled as a Ford)
The new OSI 20M TS was first shown in concept form on the Ford stand at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1966. Principal credit for the styling went to Sergio Sartorelli, whose hand shaped the Volkswagen Type 34 "razor edge" Karmann Ghia.
The OTI 20M TS remained in the catalog only through 1967. Approximately 2,000 of these handbuilt coupes are believed to have been produced, with sales limited to the German market.
This car was produced with a 6-volt electrical system and 2-liter V6, rather than the later cars' 12 volts and 2.3 liters. It was brought back to the United States by a service member serving overseas. It was then sold to a collector in Stayton, Oregon.
The car had been disassembled to a bare shell, and stored in a dry barn for 26 years. It still possessed the majority of its components, including its numbers-matching engine and four-speed manual transmission. Restored between January 2018 and April 2019, it has less than 3,200 miles showing on the odometer.
