As we recently mentioned, we've got a lot of songs we just haven't posted, so we're trying to catch up. (It's not gonna happen, but fondly may we dream.) For this post we drop down to the chronological end of our queue. Frankly, we're not exactly sure when we found these, but it appears it was in late 2008. Try not to settle into any particular mood, for this lot is all over the lot.

A couple of post-posting notes: The Yahoo Media Player plays the Dead Meadows song fine in Firefox but not in Windows Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, on my 'puter at least. You can download it, though, with right-click/Save Target As. YMP is not picking up the East Hundred song, but it will launch by left-clicking and will download with the usual right-click/Save Target As command. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The Indelicates - Fun Is For The Feeble Minded mp3 - The UK band's debut, American Demo, was released last year (2008, remember?).

Brakes - Crystal Tunings mp3 - from the Brighton supergroup's forthcoming FatCat Records release, Touchdown. It's sure to score.

Moi Caprice - To The Lighthouse mp3 - Thanks to Morten at Hits in the Car for the headsup (some time ago) on this excellent Copenhagen band. HITC has another beauty by MC, and a simple click will get you there.

The Charade - Keeping Up Appearances mp3 - the title song from Stockholm band's November 2008 release

Love Is All - Wishing Well mp3 - from Gothenburgers' A Hundred Things Keep Me Up At Night, which rightly finished high up on a number of Best of 2008 lists.

Sad Day for Puppets - Big Waves mp3 - from the Blackebergers' 2008 EP Just Like A Ghost - I've been deeply enjoying this song for some time now.

Super Sunday: Superfantastics, superfallingstars, Year Zero, Charade

Here's the perfect antidote to a testosterone-drenched Sunday (this side of the Atlantic/Pacific, anyway). I'm sure some of you found IndiePages'ssss Best of 2006 lists long ago (maybe even in 2006). My embarrassment at having done so only tonight is as nothing to the pleasure derived from what I found there. Please click on the IndiePages link if you haven't already been. You will find an abundance of great music. BTW, can you tell by their zany antics and the smidge of letters I left whom are pictured? They are sending a message. (Apologies to band members whose feet and/or toes were excised so that the clues would not be too obvious.)
