Necron Dynasty - Necron Overlord w/ Void Scythe

Hello All, thanks for dropping by for the last post from me for this year. Plenty more hobby content next year. I have finally gotten around to completing another Necron Overlord, this one has a huge Void Scythe, a heavy duty close-combat weapon designed for reaping heavy armour!
The Overlord also has a Resurrection Orb for resurrecting fallen Necron constructs nearby, a characteristic of the Necron Dynasties, facing them on the battlefield can be challenging when the foe you thought you had beaten gets back up!
His high status is reflected in the amount of gold on its armour and mantle.
I used the same Blues and Golds and red Gauss energies as the rest of the army as it awakens

And a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all Readers

Necron Dynasty - Catacomb Command Barge

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. The latest addition that has awakened from its slumber for the Necron Dynasty is a Catacomb Command Barge. A bit of an odd vehicle, lacklustre firepower but the Overlord riding the Barge can use its close combat weapon in melee, (in 9th which I play).
This has a rather rapid movement so can keep up with Wraiths and Tomb Blades and that's where I think it can be of use as it buffs nearby units. So +1 to Advance, Charge and To-Hit so this will benefit these units up the table.
The Overlord can also be upgraded to carry a Resurrection Orb so can add wounds back in to those upthreat units too. I will upgrade for a Res Orb and Warscythe - this will mean it will add some punch too.
Defo not an auto include, in 9th or 10th, but a nice model I have had since first release back in 2011 which I've finally gotten around to completing! ;)

Necron Dynasty - Overlord with Translocation Shroud

Hello all, the latest addition to the growing Tomb World is a Necron Overlord with a Translocation Shroud. He's depicted phasing through space itself, and portions of his body and wargear are already dematerialised into streamers of energy that swirl around him. One of his folded arms carries a deadly hyperphase blade, while the other clutches a resurrection orb. His metallic body is covered in Necrontyr glyphs, as well as mechanical details such as the power nodes that fuel the translocation shroud.
Here you can see the phased portions of his legs missing, its a great sculpt from GW, and fun to paint. I chose a Ulthuan Grey base and washed it with Magos Purple Contrast, and Shylish Purple on the extremes giving the multi-tonal purples of the translocation energies. In his hand is the teal coloured resurrection orb.
The Hyperphase energy of the blades and orbs was my usual reds, they contrast well with the blue armour.
A colourful HQ choice. Love this mini.
Here the Overlord is with the other Dynastic leadership.

Necron Dynasty - Overlord with Warscythe and Tachyon Arrow

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. A character from the Indomitus Boxset is finally done, an Overlord with Warscythe and Tachyon Arrow.
My Gauss energy is red and orange so the usual box-art greens are all replaced with reds. The armour panels of my Necron Dynasty is a dark blue and as ever, the more gold the character has the higher rank.
This sculpt has a beefy appearance, and the little rock at his feet has a cheeky little Scarab.
The Tachyon Arrow is a wrist mounted energy weapon worn by Necrontyr royalty which when activated transmutes a sliver of inert metal into an unstoppable thunderbolt capable of piercing a mountain, and the Single-shot variants are tremendously powerful, capable of firing a projectile at the speed of light which can instantly destroy an Imperial Titan.
