Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Castraferrum Dreadnought #23

Thanks for dropping by. This week's addition, another Castraferrum Dreadnought is added to the Relictors Battle Companies, this one is the original metal version with Lascannon and Missile Launcher. My mate Goddenzilla who I purchased it from had converted the front glacis plate to make different from the stock model.

This is now the 16th of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. Still 3 more to go. Eventually as they are all updated, they will join my extensive Battle Companies, and as the title says the 23rd of my Relictors Castraferrum Dreadnought varieties! (38th of all Dreadnought Classes and Armies - incl. Grey Knights and Custodes) !!

This will join my 4th Company, the smaller of the two Battle Companies, and displays the company number on a field of green company colour from Index Astartes.

The base is an unusual one for me, a plastic moulded base with Aeldari wreckage and wraithbone 'concrete' detail. I added sand and gravel to match my others.

Also sporting the newer 'side-skull' Relictors badge from Fallout Hobbies.

As was received from Goddenzilla, now repainted.

Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Castraferrum Venerable Dreadnought #22

This week's addition, another Castraferrum Dreadnought is added to the Relictors Battle Companies, this one is the push-fit  Dreadnought from the Assault on Black Reach starter boxset, armed with Multi-Melta and Dreadnought CCW with Storm Bolter. My mate Goddenzilla who I purchased it from had converted the front glacis plate to make different from the stock model.

This is now the 15th of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. Still 4 more to go. Eventually as they are all updated, they will join my extensive Battle Companies.

I added the spiked halo like my original dreadnoughts from 2009, added some extended exhausts using gun barrels, and a loin cloth from the Chaos Daemon Prince to add more Relictor-ness. A few chains and spikes were also added.

A few bits from Venerable Dreadnought kits adds more flavour and a new side-skull decal from Fallout Hobbies as the Relictors Chapter emblem.

This week's addition, another Castraferrum Dreadnought is added to the Relictors Battle Companies, this one is another metal old-school Venerable Dreadnought armed with Plasma Cannon and Dreadnought CCW with Heavy Flamer. My mate Goddenzilla who I purchased it from had converted the front glacis plate to make different from the stock model.

This was supplied with Aegis Defence Line Quad Autocannons but I have two Riflemen Dreads already so befitting of a Venerable Dreadnought I purchased a spare arm and used some bits from the bits box to make a suitable Heavy Flamer and Dreadnought CCW, fingers from a Brutalis Dreadnought, Heavy Flamer from the chest of a Leviathan Dreadnought.

This is now the 14th of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. Still 5 more to go, this was the additional Venerable Dreadnought Goddenzilla 'found' in the cupboard. Eventually as they are all updated, they will join my extensive Battle Companies.

Here is the Plasma Cannon spare from the plastic Venerable kit. Now with a suitable chassis.

And the two metal Dreadnoughts side by side, subtle conversions and arm swaps and metallics mean both look the business but not the same.

Thanks for dropping by. This week's addition, another Castraferrum Dreadnought is added to the Relictors Battle Companies, this one is a metal old-school Venerable Dreadnought armed with Assault Cannon and Dreadnought CCW with Storm Bolter.

This is now the 13th of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. Still 6 more to go as I have been given an additional Venerable Dreadnought Goddenzilla 'found' in the cupboard. Eventually as they are all updated, they will join my extensive Battle Companies. Goddenzilla slightly converted this one with the addition of a Terminator Head

All the grey panels were repainted and the golds with Retributor Gold, washed with Reikland Fleshshade. 

As this is a highly decorated and honoured Venerable, it will remain with 1st Company.

I also re-did the base to match my existing forces

Thanks for dropping by. This week's addition, another Castraferrum Dreadnought is added to the Relictors 5th Company, this one is a Hellfire version, Twin-Lascannon and Missile Launcher.

I've updated the base to match my others, and lightened the scheme overall. With the addition of the chaos vehicle accessory it harks back to my original and first dreadnought in 2008 (HERE)

Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Castraferrum Dreadnought #18

Thanks for dropping by. Following on from last week's addition, another Assault Cannon and Dread CCW armed Castraferrum Dreadnought is added to the Relictors 5th Company.

This is now the eleventh of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. 8 more to go until they are all updated and join my extensive Battle Companies. Below you can see the Goddenzilla original scheme.

Originally armed with dual Power Fist CCW

I chose to paint the arm black to match the accent panel, meaning this is the darker twin from last weeks offering.

A little scroll ornamentation on the reverse.

The replaced right arm is now a spare Assault Cannon from the Venerable Dreadnought, hence the more ornate trim and shoulder pauldron. Thanks to Goddenzilla for this new addition.

Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Castraferrum Dreadnought #17

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. Another scheduled post again as I am overseas. This is now the tenth of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. A Castraferrum Dreadnought armed with twin Storm Bolter CCW Fists and now re-armed (literally) to an Assault Cannon.

I used an old arm I had spare from the original first Dreadnought I painted to swap out the twin CCW fist as I don't know if that's a 'legal' loadout anymore? To match the bone accents of the first Dreadnought I painted the Dreadnought Close-Combat fist also in bone.

I added a skull on a chain underneath the Assault Cannon to 'Relictor-fy' the dreadnought a little. This dreadnought goes to 5th Company.

I also added a WFB shield boss to the front panel like all my earlier vehicles.

Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Castraferrum Dreadnought #16

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. I am scheduling these posts again as I am overseas. This is the ninth of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. A Castraferrum Dreadnought (original metal one) armed with Assault Cannon and Storm Bolter CCW Fist.

The scheme from Goddenzilla has again been adapted to my own, the golds repainted, overall brightened up, and some optics re-coloured. The greys lightened to match my own forces (Dawnstone/washed Nuln Oil). This one is also joining my 4th Company as the 5th have plenty! 

I've added the Fallout Hobbies Relictor 'side skulls' decals again, starting as I mean to go on refreshing the decals on the entire force eventually... 

The original metal smoke launchers were so much more substantial than the plastic replacements from the vehicle frame. I like the skull and lightning flash detail on the Assault Cannon arm, I'd never noticed that before. I hope Assault Cannons get improved as currently at the time of writing (10th Edn.) they are lacklustre and are AP-, worse than a Bolt Rifle for penetration, yet are meant to be like a 20th Century MK4 Mini-Gun.

Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Castraferrum Ironclad Dreadnought #15

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. I am scheduling these posts again as I return overseas. This is the eighth of many Dreadnought reinforcements I bought from Goddenzilla at Kaiju Country blog. An Ironclad Castraferrum Dreadnought.

The scheme from Goddenzilla has been adapted to my own, the golds repainted, overall brightened up, and some optics re-coloured. This one is also joining my 4th Company as the 5th have plenty! 

The Dreadnought Siege Chainfist sports the new Relictors decals.

I repainted the base to match my own scheme and some tufts were added.

This one was extensively re-painted to a lighter grey to match my forces, and the details touched up. Here is Goddenzilla's original Dreadnought, also Relictors scheme. 

Eight of the nineteen sorted and added to the Relictors forces, cheers Goddenzilla mate.
