"Excellent Collaboration and Jira Integration, But Search Needs Improvement"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence stands out as a powerful "single source of truth" that brings all team knowledge together in one place. Its most valuable features include real-time collaborative editing and commenting, which help keep teams in sync. Most importantly, its smooth and native integration with Jira is frequently mentioned as a major benefit, since it connects documentation and planning directly to the development workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The main drawbacks of Confluence are its inefficient search functionality and ongoing content management challenges. Many users describe the search feature as "clunky" and "terrible," which makes locating information frustrating and undermines its effectiveness as a knowledge base. This problem is closely tied to another major issue: without regular "wiki gardening," Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Wiki Editing with Powerful Add-Ons, But Some Basic Features Require Extras"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Best wiki editing experience I have ever used. Database tables for when you need fully structured data, Page Properties and the neat page properties report when you need just a bit of metadata. Absolutely insane number of add-ons available. The drag drop in the tree view navigation in particular blows my mind with just how good it is - it is the gold standard blueprint for how to do drag drop. It's the little touches like that that make Confluence delightful to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Sometimes you need an add-on for the "but it's so obvious!" features, like a list of dropdown options when editing a page, or showing incoming links.

As with any documentation system, content can get stale. I've not yet found the magic technique to keep the content updated yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Confluence, your best option for collaborative work"
What do you like best about Confluence?

- It enables real-time collaborative editing and in-line comments for seamless teamwork.

- It natively integrates Jira roadmaps and tasks to connect strategy with execution.

- It uses Atlassian Intelligence (AI) to summarize, generate content, and answer questions.

- It organizes information with dynamic databases (similar to Notion, but Confluence is much better) to manage goals or projects.

- It functions as a centralized, auditable single source of truth (SSOT). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

- The page editor, while modern, can be clunky and frustrating when aligning images or complex macros.

- The default notification system needs improvement; it can overwhelm users with alerts for minor changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Core Features, But Add-Ons Can Get Pricey"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence is a great wiki-style site and has good flexibility. It's easy to learn and format nicely and has good content features such as image and video, attachments, blogs, and so on. The swish integration with Jira is a powerful point, allowing dynamic links, reports, and charts to be created based on your connected Jira issues, allowing these to be condensed to a wider audience. It serves us well as the company's intranet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Add-ons are quite often required to extend the base functionality (which can be limited in some respects), and can be very expensive - especially when you combine (a) minimum user tierings and (b) the fact that add-ons must be purchased at the same tier as Confluence, and cannot be restricted to a smaller userbase. For the Data Centre version, constant vulnerability patches are required which can take a lot of time with testing and deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Organization and Formatting, But Performance Can Lag"
What do you like best about Confluence?

There are just enough text formatting options to keep things organized and easy to read, without being overwhelming. The ability to structure pages by sites and folders helps with organization as well. The live collaboration also works quite well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Performance can be a bit slow at times, pages taking a bit of time to load. The database functionality is a powerful way of capturing information, however it's still a bit rough around the edges when it comes to usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Documentation Tool with Seamless Sharing and Jira Integration"
What do you like best about Confluence?

This is one of the best documentation tools I have used. Sharing documents is very straightforward, and searching for content is also simple and efficient. Its integration with Jira makes the combination extremely effective for our needs. The guest license feature is particularly useful, as it enables me to add external users and share only the spaces that are relevant to them. I also find the new Rovo feature to be excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The calendar really ought to be included as a standard feature, but unfortunately, it's only offered in the more expensive packages. Additionally, it would be much better if there were an option to assign third-party apps to particular groups rather than making them available to every user. "Seamless Integration with Jira and Proven Collaboration Results"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence is an extremely easy-to-use Wiki-style collaboration tool that integrates seamlessly with Jira. Most of our daily Jira users end up accessing Confluence on a regular basis as a way of continuing collaboration beyond the specific work items in Jira. My organization enjoys the flexibility that Confluence offers, in terms of radiating out metrics, inviting people to collaborate on specific topics or themes, or relaying key information to others. The ability to immediately connect Jira work items with Confluence pages, or to take objects from a Confluence page and turn them into Jira work items means that the two tools coexist almost without effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The biggest drawbacks to Confluence are the requirement for a viewer to be an Atlassian license holder (limiting the scope of basic "view" rights to those with expensive licenses assigned) and the need for sometimes costly add-on applications in order to get some of the best features and functions out of the tool. "Effortless Organization and Integration, Minor Formatting Hiccups"
What do you like best about Confluence?

I really like how easy it is to create and organize pages in confluence. My team uses it for meeting notes, project plans, documentation and everything stays neatly arranged in one place. The editor feels simple to use, even for people who aren't very technical. I also like how it connects smoothly with Jira which helps us link tasks and updates directly to our confluence pages. The search works really well too, I can quickly find old documents or notes without wasting time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

It often takes a few extra steps to format pages the way I want, especially when adding tables or images, but get things done. It can also feel a little slow or lags when loading large pages with lots of content. I think a few small design improvements could make it faster and simpler which will also improve user experience. "Great tool for smarter collaboration and transparency"
What do you like best about Confluence?

What I like most about Confluence is how easy it is to use and set up. The interface is clean, so creating and organizing pages feels effortless. it offers a good number of useful features and integrates smoothly with tools like Jira and Slack, which keeps everything connected. I use it often it document processes and share updates, and the support and resource available makes the experience even better. Overall, It's simple yet powerful tool for team collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

At times, Confluence can feel a bit slow when loading large pages or attachments. The search features could also be more accurate, It sometimes takes extra effort to find older documents. Apart from that, the permission settings can get little confusing when managing access for multiple teams. However, these are minor issues compared to the overall ease and usefulness of the platform. "Excellent collaboration and documentation platform"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence is a powerful and reliable collaboration tool that helps teams create, organize, and share knowledge seamlessly. Its integration with Jira and other Atlassian products makes project tracking smooth and efficient. The platform’s version control, structured spaces, and ready-to-use templates, easy to implement to make documentation easy and transparent, good to use for daily. It’s especially useful for software and project teams who want a centralized knowledge hub for all updates, guides, and discussions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

On the downside, Confluence can feel slow when handling large pages or heavy attachments, and its permission settings can be confusing for beginners. The user interface may also seem complex at first. However, Atlassian’s support team is generally helpful and responsive, backed by detailed documentation and an active community forum that provides solutions to most issues quickly.
