Inseminoid - Killer Crabs cdr

Fortunately, the tasteless exploitation imagery is now on the back cover, phew. One of the darkest and most subtle Inseminoid releases, with static heavy guitar drone, deep undeground sounds that evoke an eerie atmosphere and some liberating harsh noise at the end. Nice. 2010 cdr on Beartown Records.

Stuart Chalmers & Yol - Discarded Bag Epiphanies tape

Maniacal incomprehensible skronk mayhem on this collaboration between the super-talented Stuart Chalmers on tape loops and tortured swarmandal and Yol on a completely fucked-up stream-of-consciousness vocal performance full of anxiety and chaos. 2018 tape on Beartown.

Gene Depression - Decom. Tremens tape

British duo creating gritty industrial noise mainly generated by tortured voices, as well as loops and pedals. Old-school TG and Genesis P-Orridge feeling kinda creeping somewhere underneath. 2015 tape on Beartown Records.

Food People - Animal Work tape

Spaced-out weirdness at its best here, as this trio creates a mix between psychedelic drones, folkish violins and dark ambient/industrial voids. 2018 tape on Beartown.

Flamingo Creatures ‎– Flauschi tape

One of the absolutely best psychedelic bands at work at the moment, the German duo of Flaming Creatures construct a hazy world of amazing sonic experimentation based on violins, guitars and loops, mixing kosmische psychedelia, gamelan type bliss and the best and most nightmarish elements of early Throbbing Gristle. Must listen. 2017 tape on Beartown.

The Tea Towels ‎– We Are The Deadness tape

Garage sound quality noise rock with lots of mellower atonal, greenish moments. For fans of Slint, Oxbow, and The Dead C, but at their most incoherent, broken down and crawling on the floor. 2017 tape on Beartown.

Yokonono - Haunted Head tape

Two completely sleep-inducing and zoning-out 40-minute bubbling drones that stay the same throughout. No point here but to crawl on the floor while blasting the air conditioning on these hot days, or as the label says to focus before the exams. 2016 tape on Beartown.

Filthy Turd - Buxom Psychic & Reptilian Revelator

Disgusting skronky dictaphone noise and musique concrète by everyone's beloved turd sandwich. Unsettling almost singing too, ideal for any uptown expensive restaurant. 15 tracks here but I'm not sure if I've separated them correctly. Tape on Beartown Records.

In Threads - In Threads cdr

In Threads are (were?) a three-piece improvisational unit from the UK, consisting of drums, cello and sax. They play skronky improvised jazz similar to Diktat or Roof or The Revolutionary Ensemble but even sparser. Dig this. 2015 cdr on Beartown.

Jasmine Guffond / Plurals - split cdr

In this split cdr consisting of live recording by both acts, Jasmine Guffond presents a hypnagogic ambient landscape of hazy electronics, spectral voices and melancholic synths, somewhere between Tim Hecker and recent Oneohtrix Point Never but with a more cyberpunk edge. Plurals present an epic "gazing-the-world-from-the-top-of-the-tower" drone track lasting 26 minutes that gets more and more intense as it proceeds getting into the stratosphere. An amazing track that wouldn't be out of place in a Swans concert. Highly recommended stuff. 2017 cdr on Beartown.

Anla Courtis ‎– Antofagasta cd

This is a collection of field recordings made by Anla Courtis during a 1998 trip to the volcanic area of Antofagasta De La Sierra in Argentina, covered with shrubs, as obvious from the pics. The sounds include various percussive-like ones (probably from the bells of sheep herded in the area?), the horns of trucks passing by the highways, and the wind lashing the dry landscape, all edited and reworked by Courtis to make a sonic impression of the ecosystem. It's a mostly loud but hypnotizing affair ideal for isolation in a sparsely-built area as the one that provided the inspiration for this amazing cd. 2016 cd on Beartown.
