Controlled Death – Music For The Death Cult Church
PS: He's just released a new one on Deathbed Tapes, so my worries that he had stopped playing as Controlled Death or in general are now gone.

Controlled Death – Hymn To Eternal Death
Thanks to those who asked where I have been and if I've been well. Yes, I'm well, it's been getting increasingly difficult to post regularly due to this shit distance teaching I've been doing at the school where I work, plus it was a very busy month with regards to my PhD, plus some unpleasant stuff happening at work, plus taking care of my son, etc etc. It's now Orthodox Easter holidays here, so two weeks off. Unfortunately, schools are opening again in two weeks without any fucking precaution measures having been taken, and with the tourist season lurking at the threshold, I don't know how I'll manage to keep myself healthy. Fortunately, I'm getting the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in less than two weeks, so hopefully I'll stay safe from covid, even though the area where I teach is a covid shithole.
Anyway, as a reminder of the festive period, here's the most recent Controlled Death release, it's expectedly disgustingly awesome, and it's one of the most varied releases Maso has done. 2020 cd on Total Black.

Controlled Death – Requiem For The Boundless Flesh
This one starts deceptively as His most noisy release so far as Controlled Death, with full-on Masonna-like voice-mic destruction but as tracks pass it becomes more and more ambient like with some serious psych-synth atmosphere in track 4 and several deadly lulling parts. 2021 5 X 7" box on Urashima.

Controlled Death – Selected Evil And Death Works 2018-2019
A compilation featuring Controlled Death's rarest cuts, that is the Evil Discharge flexi 7", the Black Lucifer Rising tape, a track from the split with himself (that is Masonna, doh) and two unreleased tracks that have a lo-fi buried sound and feel like the aural equivalent of the functions of a zombie's brain. You already know that Controlled Death is the scariest, most unnerving shit to have emerged in many years, so no questioning you're gonna shit yourself to it. 2020 cd on Dotsmark.

Controlled Death (Masonna)
Controlled Death is the recent alter-ego of Maso Yamazaki/Masonna. After a few years of seeming silence, he has returned both with his dayjob project, but more frequently under the Controlled Death moniker, playing heavy death industrial, similar in perversion to Atrax Morgue, with dark ambient, harsh noise and HNW undertones. Unsettling stuff. Here's a lazy summary of the releases I have managed to obtain, for all of you to make yourselves filthy with.
2020 - Beautiful Decomposition (on Total Black)
2020 - Death Entries 1 (on Dwid's Holy Terror)
2019 - Black Lucifer Rising (on Deathbed Tapes)
2019 - Black Scorpion Rising (on Deathbed Tapes) - one of the most threatening synth noises you will have ever heard
2019 - Journey Through A Dead Body/Deathwish Tapes 1-3 (on Urashima)
2019 - Ritualistic Mutilation In The Bloody Darkness (on Urashima)
2018 - Symphony For The Black Murder (on Urashima)

Atrax Morgue - I Vizi Morbosi Di Una Giovane Infermiera
Doesn't require much imagination to judge from the title that there's a 70' exploitation theme going on around here, does it? Heavy on samples from the film with the same name by gay socialist director from Spain Eloy De La Iglesia (haven't seen it), this wee little cdr by Marco Corbelli features minimal synth with hypnotic effects, devoid of any feelings with very few forays into more noisier territory, very reminiscent of early Maurizio Bianchi. 2001 cdr on Corbelli's own Slaughter Productions.
