Calineczka – kysztymska redux/ MVK/ Modelbau/ Depletion/ Kamil Kowalczyk/ Important Drone Records/ Invisible City Records worship
Sometimes personal issues lead me to mistakes while writing this blog. So, when I originally posted this new Calineczka release in late March, I forgot to include the whole material on it. I received the whole package including a stick that contains three tracks on .wav format, but I forgot to upload them all, and only posted the first track which was given through bandcamp when I bought it, due to space limitations. So, after communicating with the master himself, here's the whole thing: 12 hours of the deepest modular synth drone to listen during summer sloth. Can it get any better than this?
2020 stick on Szara Reneta. Download
PS: It can get almost at least as good as 12 hours of Calineczka pineal gland movement with the new releases on his label Important Drone Records which has just put out a tape of deep warm drones called Trans Misja by Kamil Kowalczyk, and grey industrial drone by MVK on the tape Metastabilities. Go order them right now, they're cheap and totally worth your time and money.
PS2: Speaking of MVK, there's a new release The Hidden Accord just brought out by the ever-reliable Invisible City Records as a split between MVK and Modelbau (Frans De Waard of Kapotte Muziek), featuring even more bleak concrete drone. It's a free download, are you still here?
PS3: Invisible City released at the same time a new Depletion tape (my worship of Martyn Reid's work both as Depletion and through Vampyres has been frequently expressed here). The focus here is not on concrete mixer drone, but to create a deeper more sinister sound that is more akin to Wolf Eyes and Demons. Cotard Delusion is also a free download and of course 100% guaranteed quality.

Vampyres - Moonphase
Some of the noisiest material made by Vampyres here, but of course always with the unsettling horror ambient twist. 2018 tape on Quagga Curious Sounds.

Vampyres – Embers Of Destruction tape
At Easter I always like to post something slightly related to religion and something its opposite. So, the opposite this year is another release of the sublime horror drone of Vampyres of Lee Stokoe and Martyn James Reid. You probably have understood how high I hold these two guys and their day projects (Culver and Depletion) so you know that you should expect top-notch modular synth drone terror. 2019 tape on Invisible City Records.

Depletion – Concrete Tapes #5 tape
Screeching concrete noise and tape manipulations by the always reliable Martyn Reid. 2013 tape on for Noise's Sake.

N. / Depletion – Today I Feel Drained cdr
Italian N. sets off very interestingly with soulless synth noise akin to Maurizio Bianchi and Atrax Morgue. It sounds very damaged and nihilistic, inducing you to just stare at the ceiling. The great Depletion of Martyn Reid (Vampyres) continues with three amazing tracks of heavy synth noise of similar influences, for people who want to commit suicide by swallowing a bucket of wet concrete. 2017 cdr on BeTon.

Depletion – Electrónica Nerviosa cdr
Claustrophobic, utterly grey and urban modular synth industrial noise by Martyn Reid, who also plays with Lee Stokoe in Vampyres. Like early Maurizio Bianchi with better sound and bleake. 2016 cdr on Shadown Of Venom.

Vampyres (Lee Stokoe & Martyn Reid)
Vampyres is a hot new project by Lee Stokoe of Culver/Witchblood/Matching Head tapes/millions of other projects and Martyn Reid of Depletion (2017's Lost Signals tape on Matching Head was a masterpiece of grey industrial synth bleakness) and in their releases they play intense and dense droning industrialized noise quite close to Depletion. If Culver is the all-devouring primeval drone of the Great Old Ones lurking out of space to engulf us, Vampyres is the dark daily presence of Nyarlathotep, the carrier that brings the message that our technology-infested world will be engulfed in evil.
Since Lee prefers Culver and MH material not to be uploaded online, I will provide links to anything that has been posted online by labels, and links for potential purchases.
Astral Sacrifice (2017, At War With False Noise) - Free streaming
So hypnotic and miserable is the sound that I fell asleep listening to it while waiting at a public service.
Century Scars (2017, Invisible City Records) - Free download
Damaged screaming poisoned-wind-swept noise drone.
Bloodstream (2017, Matching Head) - Buy it
Like a pool of green toxic fluids dripping from big evil factory machines.
Voyeurs At The Gates Of Hell (2018, Matching Head) - Buy it
Caustic like acid on throbbing flesh wounds with deceptive moments of lull.
At The Altar (2018, Cruel Nature Recordings) - 1 tape remaining
Impenetrable sprawling ringing drone on a real bad trip.
Despondent Kingdom (2018, Narcolepsia) - Samples and ordering
The most recent one and possibly the best one yet along with Bloodstream. Three tracks of evil modular synth industrial drone of the order of Maurizio Bianchi and early Wolf Eyes.
Vampyres & Rust Ruus - Live At Club Ponderosa, Gateshead, 30 September 2017 (No-Audience Underground Tapes)
Ali Robertson & Joyce Whitfield, Vampyres, brb>voicecoil, Spoils & Relics - Live At Soundroom Gateshead 23 June 2017 (No-Audience Underground Tapes) - Contact the label for free tape copies
Two live documents of gigs of Vampyres, where they are even more deafening, abrasive and threatening. On the other side of the first tape, Rust Ruus plays high-pitched sounds which sound to me like they have been created with wind instruments - but I'm not sure. On the other tape, Ali Robertson of Usurper and Joyce Whitfield play a live set of dictaphone sounds and Posset-like autistic mouth sounds. brb>voicecoil offers a set of pulsating and slightly rhythmic/a-rhythmic electronic weirdness. Spoils & Relics sound like they are constantly connecting live wires to each other along with samples of some robotic talking are heard in the background.
Also, Vampyres have set up a soundcloud account, where they have posted two more tracks that I haven't seen anywhere.
(and of course, these tapes can be got via email contact)
