Fall has never been more beautiful

Spring has always been my favorite season.

Bright, brash and colorful.

Then a beautiful Fall like this comes along.

Delicious and crisp apples are ripening in the trees.

Golden days and cool nights.

Leaves are falling everywhere.

There is never enough time to harvest it all.

Last roses make a small bouquet.

Wild Ducks and geese mingle with our own.

Winter pears are still ripening.
Blue cheese is ageing for my favorite dessert.

Only a few flowers left.

Snow will come soon enough.

Hope you are enjoying beautiful Fall days where you live.

Now comes the long Winter

The last of the fruit has been harvested.

Only a little color left.

Still growing along a protected wall.

A few Anemones and a few frozen Interlaken grapes.

There will be cozy evenings by the warm fire.

Soon our Pond will be frozen over.

Our Fields will be covered with a thick blanket of snow.

And yes, there will be Picnics at the end of our cross-country ski trail.

Happy Snow Days.

Winter Pears

Winter Pears, the finest Pear of them all

Not all are perfect

But then there are the show stoppers.  Indescribably sweet and delicious

Pick them when they're still green

Let them ripen in a bowl, at room temperature

A ripe pear, a well aged hunk of cheese, nothing could be better

We can't eat them all, these are for sharing with friends and visitors

We left a few for you to pick ... at the very top of our tree
