It's supposed to look like this

 But it doesn't.

They are still sleeping

No flowers for the house. 

Even too cold for pansies.

Not even a Hellebore in sight.

When are they going to show their faces?

There is only this and 

it is very cold. 

Enjoy your flowers,

I was feeling sorry for myself.

I've been complaining that nothing is growing in my garden.

All I had to do is look under the snow. 

And there they were!

Snowdrops and Hellebore.

The sun is shining today,

Surprise, Surprise

The first flowers growing outside

and Kumquats growing inside, in my greenhouse. 

 I had no idea that Kumquats were forming on my little tree. 
 I couldn't see them when they were green.  

Brought these candied Kumquats from Italy. 
Wish I knew the recipe.

Happy Day.

A happy day yesterday when I discovered a few blooms in my garden. 

All of a sudden

Snowdrops are blooming in little clumps. 

And so are Hellebores.

Hellebores look so fragile.

But they push themselves right through the ice and snow. 

Who needs roses when one can have Snowdrops and Hellebores.

But then, why not have it all.

It's St Patrick's Day

Will be cooking Corned Beef and Cabbage today.

Have to see if  

 the Horseradish roots are ready to harvest.

Snowdrops were brave enough to poke their little heads through the snow.
