You don't have a garden where you can putter around?

Maybe this post will give you a few ideas.

Pots are the answer.

Bougainvillea do well in pots

Petunias are easy

Pick up a few clay pots

Look around your house for containers.

A few welcome flowers by the front door.

By an old fountain.

Up and down the steps

A little corner by the table.

Pots placed where a little color is needed.

Urns make great containers.

Great if you have a balcony

On the way to the terrace.

Any ledge will do.

My Begonias have been in these pots for many years.

Pansies to greet visitors by the front door.

All you need is a little potting soil and a few containers.

We are lucky this year.

Even though the apricot blossoms froze early this Spring, we have, for the first time in many years,  peaches, beautiful peaches.

We had no fruit last year.  Not even apples, pears or plums.  Everything froze.

We had grapes.  But a horde of flies came by and in two days sucked every bit of juice out of every grape.

This year is different.

Even my old roses made it through the cold winter and my Sweet Peas have never looked better.

And peaches, Early Albertas appeared on the trees as if by magic.

We will have Asian Pears and Apples and Plums and hardy winter Pears.

The kitchen garden is overflowing.

And we will have grapes.  They are almost ripe and I don't see many flies.

We captured them, by the millions, lured into a terrible smelling trap.

Have a great remainder of the week.

A juggling act.

This time of year I keep the jam pot boiling and my artist brushes busy.
It's a juggling act.

The fruit is ripening and needs attention.
Red Currants first and then the apricots.

My owl didn't show up this year.  The marauding birds have become very brazen.
They have eaten every single cherry from our tree.

Can't make Kirsch Likör this year.

Have several commissions for hand painted tiles.
Have finished some of them.

Rows and rows of vegetables need to be harvested.
Dilly beans, or what I call cocktail beans,  go into jars next.

A hundred flower pots have to be watered every single day.

Pots get moved around to add color where needed.

Choke cherries need to turn black before I can harvest them.
Have to cover the tree with netting to save them from the birds.
Choke cherries make the finest pancake syrup.

Weeds are outgrowing the crops.
Must pull a few.

But there is always time to sit and admire Summer.

Hope your Summer is going well my dear

I appreciate each and every one of you.  Thank you for your visit.

It's a Jungle in there.

In my Greenhouse.

It's too early to take the Geraniums outside.

Nasturtiums are even more tender.  They have provided me with lots of flowers during the winter months.  Don't want to lose them now.

New Lemons are growing on my Tree.  I hand pollinated the blossoms.  My greenhouse is filled with their intoxicating perfume.

This petunia doesn't know what color it wants to be.

Pear blossoms are beginning to show.

My show is only 2 weeks away.  I will be painting every day.

Have a wonderful weekend my dear

My Winter Greenhouse is waking up

The days are getting longer.

Nasturtiums have been blooming all winter.

My old Geraniums are filling in.

This one is an Ivy Geranium.

The older the better... gives them so much character.

Every year I plant a few Iceland Poppies into pots so that I can have early flowers.

Young and old live happily side by side.

Nasturtiums come in so many fabulous colors.

This one doesn't count.  It's growing on my way to the greenhouse.

I always seed a few Morning Glories in pots.   Gives them a good start. They will trail out of  urns and reach the terrace floor by mid summer.

All of the flowers in this pot are volunteers...always a nice surprise.

Have a wonderful weekend my dear
