You don't have a garden where you can putter around?

Maybe this post will give you a few ideas.

Pots are the answer.

Bougainvillea do well in pots

Petunias are easy

Pick up a few clay pots

Look around your house for containers.

A few welcome flowers by the front door.

By an old fountain.

Up and down the steps

A little corner by the table.

Pots placed where a little color is needed.

Urns make great containers.

Great if you have a balcony

On the way to the terrace.

Any ledge will do.

My Begonias have been in these pots for many years.

Pansies to greet visitors by the front door.

All you need is a little potting soil and a few containers.

Morning Glories have a lot of talent.

Plant a few seeds

water now and then.

They have a way of finding a way to shine.

They cover awkward spaces beautifully.

They only bloom in the morning

and fade away.

Where did this one come from?
They call them Sports.

This one escaped to the hollyhocks.

They look especially nice when cascading from an urn.

Morning Glories self seed and show up in the most unexpected places.
That is what makes them so special.

And all the while you have not lifted a finger.

Have a happy and lazy weekend dear friends.

Always a surprise.

When you gather flower seeds.

You never know what will bloom the following year.

In 2012, flowers from seeds from an old bucket found in my barn.

Seeds collected from last year's flower bed produced this variety in 2013.

From this in 2012 to

 this in 2013.

I think I know what happened.  Of course each year growing conditions are different.  However, I noticed last year that many Zinnias did not get pollinated before the first frost hit.

That is why I love to grow annuals from saved seeds.

So many discoveries, so many surprises.

Have a wonderful remainder of the week my dear
Blogging Friends.
