DC Comics released Action Comics #1097 last week. The cover features Booster Gold, Mary Marvel and Matian Manhunter looking at Superboy. Here is the official summary:

DC Comics released Lobo #1 earlier this week as part of their Next Level event. Here is the official summary:

Catching up on Absolute Martian Manhunter today since DC Comics released #8 earlier this week. It's still a trippy and weird science fiction title.
Fans of science fiction pulp magazines will enjoy the Asgard Press Vintage Sci-Fi 2026 Calendar at Amazon. It measures 11" x 15" when closed and 11" x 30" when opened. The calendar features full color covers from such pulp magazines as Astounding Stories, Captain Future and Startling Stories. Several of the covers features aliens, robots and women that can easily be separated and framed.

Like most things, I'm late into getting Resident Alien. I knew about the several comic book series from Dark Horse Comics starting in 2012 but never read any of them. I didn't watch the Syfy/USA tv series that started in 2021 and ended this year until the fourth and final season started early this year. I binged watched them from the beginning and greatly enjoyed the show. This week Dark Horse Comics released a new mini-series starting with Resident Alien: The Book of Changes #1 that came out this past week. Here's the official summary:
"Return to Patience, USA, the seemingly sleepy town with numerous mysteries and secrets — and a handful of those are interplanetary! Harry and Asta, having recently welcomed their child Clover into the world, now welcome several visitors from Harry’s home planet. Agent Jones returns, and a new Resident Alien comics arc begins!"
It should be noted that Asta is the alien Harry's girlfriend in the comics while she is only his best friend on the tv series.
Red Sonja Attacks Mars #3 was released today from Dynamite Entertainment. Mars Attack is licensed from Topps. This series is a sequal to the five-issue Mars Attacks Red Sonja mini-series from 2020, which I admit that I haven't read yet. Here are the cover galleries to the first three issues:
All I can say about Absolute Martian Manhunter #1 from DC Comics is that it was really trippy. The colors are amazing. There are six variant covers but I'm only showing cover A in this post.

The new General Mills cereals promoting Marvel's The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 movie is starting to trickle into the local stores. I picked up the Honey Nut Cheerios Mega box with Mantis on it at the local Walmart's about a week ago. This is a pretty big box and pretty expensive too but they didn't have any of the smaller boxes with her on it. The picture below is swiped from online since I couldn't get a good picture of the box yet. The back of the box has a group shot. I don't plan on collecting the entire set since there are way too many boxes and I don't eat as much cereal as I did when I was a kid.
Scotch McTiernan's Halloween Party is a one-shot special from Image Comics that was released earlier this week. Killer clowns, vampires, demons, aliens and other creatures gather at the annual Monster Mirthapalooza in Ridgeway City, New Jersey. Scotch McTiernan, monster hunter, shows up to the horror of the monsters. Past stories are told including a spoof on E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. Things then take a turn for the worse for all the party goers. If you want some humor with your monsters, then I highly recommend picking up a copy.

To my suprise, I found Final Faction First Impact: The Origin Story #1 at the local Dollar Tree this morning. The comic book was sealed in a cheap plastic bag that I quickly discarded and is based on the cartoon, which is based on the action figures. I never paid them any attention but I guess they came out in 2021. The inside of the front cover features photos of the Final Faction action figures and accessories. They also include the space aliens known as the Kharns. There are no ads in the comic book but the inside of the back cover features ad parodies such as Final Faction Cola and Sarge's Cookie Company. The comic book is only twenty pages long and I can't remember the last time I bought a comic book for $1.25. The story and art has the feel of the old G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero but with aliens. I have scanned and shared the front and back covers along with the first three pages below. The issue has no publisher information but I can only assume that it was published by Greenbier International, Inc. since they also produce the Final Faction toy line.
A special Halloween music treat for this year has to be: Animated Ozzy Osbourne & Lemmy Team Up In New "Hellraiser" Video. The heavy metal legends fight all kinds of monsters and aliens.
