Superhero Sunday: The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt #5

Dynamite released The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt #5 last week. Here is the official summary:

"OBEDIENCE SCHOOL’S OUT FOREVER! In this issue: Everything comes crashing down as the saga of The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt reaches its climactic conclusion! To bring law and order back to Big City, the Blue Falcon is willing to pay almost any price — but will the final toll prove to be too high in the end?"

There are several alternative covers, but my favorite has to be cover c by Joseph Michael Linsner.

The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt #2

Dynamite Entertainment released The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt #2 on Wednesday. There are several alternate covers and they are all pretty cool. Here's the official summary:

"READY TO TAKE A BITE OUT OF CRIME! Following last issue’s shocking events, inventor Radley Crown has declared a war on crime in Big City, and he’s tearing through his hometown’s underworld in the guise of his alter ego, the Blue Falcon. But there are things awaiting him in the shadows that are stranger and more deadly than any run-of-the-mill gangster or psychopath — and they’ve set their sights squarely on the Falcon’s faithful canine companion!"

Science Fiction Saturday: Space Ghost #3 Cover Gallery

It's another Saturday and here I am writing about another Hanna-Barbera cartoon character. Dynamite Entertainment released Space Ghost #3 this past Wednesday. There are a few alternative covers but cover B has to be my favorite of them all. Here is the official summary:

"The ancient barbarian known as Tarko the Terrible was lost in a blood-soaked battle across the icy tundra. Now, millennia later, his frozen form has been discovered in a block of ice and once he thaws out, he’ll find a whole new galaxy ripe for conquest! Can Space Ghost and company stop this time-lost warrior from wreaking havoc upon the future? Or will our heroes find themselves on the wrong end of Tarko’s blade?"

Blue Falcon and Dynomutt #1 Cover Gallery

Nothing can be better than posting about The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt #1 on a Saturday. I used to watch the Hanna-Barbera cartoon back in the mid-1970s when I was a kid (yes, I'm that old). Dynamite Entertainment released the first issue of a new series on September 10, 2025, and puts a very modern-day spin on the classic cartoon characters. Here's the official summary:

"Secure in their luxurious penthouse high above the downtown streets, wealthy inventor and art collector Radley Crown and his faithful canine companion enjoyed a charmed existence — until the fateful day a vicious gang of thugs shattered his complacency. In the aftermath of the vicious attack, Crown focused his incredible technical skills to rebuild both himself and his four-legged companion into the ultimate instruments of retribution: The Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, Dog Wonder!"

Check out these awesome covers for the first issue:

Space Quest #1 Cover Gallery

Space Ghost and Jonny Quest team up in a new mini-series from Dynamite Entertainment. Space Quest #1 was released this week and is set in 1965. If you're a fan of the Hanna-Barbera cartoons, then this is a must for you.

Science Fiction Saturday: The Herculoids #1 Cover Gallery

The Herculoids #1 from Dynamite Entertainment came out last Wednesday. This is a reboot of the Saturday morning cartoon from Hanna-Barbera featuring Zandor, Tara, Dorno, Zok the dragon, Igoo, Tundro, Gloop and Gleep. It was great seeing them all back in action again and I can't wait to read the next issue.

Hanna-Barbera Super-Heroes #1 T-shirt

ShirtPunch produces some really cool t-shirts but they only last for twenty-four hours. This Hanna-Barbera Super-Heroes #1 t-shirt features a fake cover featuring updated versions of Space Ghost, Mightor, Blue Falcon, Multi Man from the Impossibles, Zandor and Tara from the Herculoids, Captain Caveman, Frankenstein, Jr. and Birdman.

I wish this was a real comic series even though DC Comics updated Space Ghost a several years ago.
