Superhero Sunday: Supergirl #10

This year's Countdown to Valentine's Day may be over but I still have one special treat to share. DC Comics released Supergirl #10 with Supergirl and Streaky the Supercat on the cover. Yes, that's Lena Luthor she's thinking of along with a "hot tattoo guy" wearing a big heart earring. Here is the official summary:

"It’s Valentine’s Day in Midvale, and Kara has finally worked up the courage to ask her crush out for the holiday. Little does he know he’ll be on a date with Supergirl! Meanwhile, Lena Luthor struggles with their friendship fallout. Can the daughter of Lex Luthor and cousin of Superman ever see eye-to-eye again?"

Ho hum, DC Comics released a new Supergirl #1 today. But wait, Krypto also appears along with a brief appearance by Streaky.

DC Super Friends: Battle Below Children's Book

Streaky the Supercat, Supergirl, Superman and Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern is on the cover of DC Super Friends: Battle Below children's book. I found it on Monday at the local Dollar Tree and had to get it. The story was written by Steve Korte with illustrations by Erik Doescher, Mike DeCarlo and David Tanguay. The four DC Super Friends team up against Sinestro, Artocitus and his cat, Dex-Starr. Yes, that's one Green Lantern, one Yellow Lantern and two Red Lanterns. The story spotlights Streaky and the art is stylish for kids so overall it's a fun children's book.

Women Wednesday: Power Girl #17 Cover

Power Girl #17 is out today from DC Comics and she gets a costume change. Her boob window is now in the shape of the Superman shield. Also on the cover is Streaky the supercat, Natasha Irons aka Steel and Lilith Clay aka Omen.
