Women Wednesday: Sirens: Love Hurts #1-4

DC Comics released Sirens: Love Hurts on February 11, 2026 under their Black Label imprint. The cover focuses on Catwoman but also shows Black Canary, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. Here is the official summary:

"HARLEY, IVY, CATWOMAN, AND BLACK CANARY BROUGHT TO YOU BY FAN-FAVORITE CREATORS TINI HOWARD AND BABS TARR! Introducing Gotham's most eligible bachelorettes... for at least a little while longer! First, there's Catwoman, who's been playing cat and mouse with her two favorite boy toys — Bruce Wayne and the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Next up? Harley Quinn, who's recently single and now committed only to her hot girl era. Of course, there's also Poison Ivy, who just wants to enjoy her solitude...as long as her best friend Harley's there to enjoy it with her. And then there's the new girl, Black Canary, who's engaged to the love of her life, Green Arrow — but the closer they get to the wedding day, the more it feels like they might not be so written in the stars after all."

The second issue was released on March 11, 2026. The cover focused on Harley Quinn but also featured Poison Ivy, Catwoman and Black Canary. Here is the official summary:

"Things heat up in Gotham City as Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and their reluctant new partner in crime—solving, that is—Black Canary hunt down leads in their serial killer case. Catwoman ropes Batman into some steamy surveillance work, Harley and Ivy pour out the wine as they pore over evidence, and Canary...well, the only thing keeping her sane amidst wedding dress shopping and her too-fancy engagement party is getting her knuckles a little bruised and blood during suspect interrogations. But as the bodies pile up and Halloween looms large over Gotham, the Sirens realize working together across enemy lines proves harder than your average Justice League team-up. When the killer suddenly turns the sharp point of their knife from the city's most vulnerable women to the Sirens themselves, will the threat unite the mat long last? Or tear their alliance apart for good?"

The third issue was released on April 8, 2026. The cover focuses on Poison Ivy but also shows Harley Quinn, Black Canary and Catwoman. Here is the official summary:

"The holidays are here, but not every Siren’s feeling the cheer! Sure, Harley and Ivy’s friendship warms to a romance, but Catwoman and millionaire Bruce Wayne go ice cold when Bruce attempts to define the relationship— wasn’t he supposed to be a playboy? And then there’s the matter of Black Canary’s bachelorette party, where the Sirens and the police commissioner’s daughter, Barbara Gordon, are all on the guest list. Tensions ride high…and Gotham’s most elusive serial killer, Horoscope, is happy to cut right through them. Literally."

The fourth and final issue was released May 20, 2026. The cover focuses on Black Canary but also shows Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. Here is the official summary:

"As winter melts to spring and the marriage of power couple Black Canary and Green Arrow looms large in Gotham City, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy struggle to pick up the shattered pieces of their friendship-turned-situationship… and a shocking revelation turns Catwoman’s relationship with Batman upside down. Even the bride- and groom-to-be face their own rocky walk down the aisle on their wedding day… one that the killer Horoscope is determined to make a bloody affair!"

Superhero Sunday: Superman #37 (Legacy #879)

DC Comics released Superman #37 (Legacy #879) last week. The cover features Damian Wayne aka Robin looking at Superboy Prime. Both of them fight Clayface in this issue. Power Girl and a few other Justice League members appear too. Here is the official summary:

Justice League: Dark Tomorrow Special

Justice League: Dark Tomorrow Special came out this week from DC Comics.

Here's the official summery: "In the wake of the We Are Yesterday crossover epic, a mysterious Quantum Quorum has emerged… stalked by a lethal enemy that takes no prisoners. The League deputizes a rag tag group of time displaced heroes like Batman Beyond, Gold Beetle, and Helena Wayne to fill the void left behind by the Time Masters and save the quorum from the mysterious threat that’s picking off time-travelers one by one. These Legends of Tomorrow are the only ones standing in the way of this cascading chronal Armageddon with the past, present, and future teetering on the brink in this oversized special leading to the next big DC All In event!"

The front cover features Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Booster Gold, Gold Beetle, the Huntress and Batman Beyond. Batman and Superman does not appear in this special and Wonder Woman only appears briefly. Mister Terrific, the Atom, Red Tornado and Supergirl also appear briefly. This issue introduces a new name and look for an existing superhero that goes by the name of Legend.

Legend, Gold Beetle, Air Wave and Amazing Man are joined by a ragtag crew of misplaced in time heroes that include Batman Beyond, Marilyn Moonlight, the Huntress and Jonah Hex. Plastic Man also shows up and joins the team.

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #1

DC Comics teams up with Legendary Comics again with Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #1 that came out earlier this week. The cover features Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman with Godzilla and Kong in the background. What makes this interesting is the wedding of Barry Allen aka the Flash and Iris West. Only Clark Kent aka Superman, Bruce Wayne aka Batman and Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman are actually at the wedding while several members of the Justice League and Teen Titans watch from the Hall of Justice. Amanda Waller and her Suicide Squad are also in this issue and a giant King Shark fights Godzilla. There's more but I won't spoil it all here.

Batman - Santa Claus: Silent Knight Returns #1 Cover

Batman - Santa Claus: Silent Knight Returns #1 (January, 2025) came out this week just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving today. The cover features Batman, Robin, Zatanna and Santa Claus. The story actually contains most of the Justice League. I think this is the first time that I noticed that Flash's daughter is named Thunderheart. Yes, this mini-series is a sequel to last year's mini-series.

Justice League: Road To Dark Crisis #1

Justice League: Road To Dark Crisis #1 came out from DC Comics last Wednesday. The cover features shattered glass with shards showing Pariah, Darkseid, Flash, Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern, Jackson Hyde as Aquaman, Jonathan Kent aka Superman and Nightwing. The issue actually has multiple stories that deal with the aftermath of the death of the Justice League (all but one died anyway). The first story is about Nightwing and Jonathan Kent, who I still have a hard time accepting as Superman. The second story features Flash (Wally West) and Kid Flash (Wallace "Ace" West) that takes down Giganta and then tries to see who can stop the most crime. The next story features Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) following a space creature to Atlantis where he meets and teams up with Aqualad now known as Aquaman (Jackson Hyde). The story featuring Pariah has him being haunted by the memories of his dead wife, daughter and son before committing himself to building a machine to defeat the Great Darkness. Finally, Batgirl (Stephanie Brown) tries to stop Nocturna but ends up talking with her (Firefly shows up afterwards to offer the vampire a spot on the new Secret Society). The stories are not bad but not great either and they mostly feel like filler. I'm a little miffed that Kid Flash, Batgirl and Nocturna were not on the cover especially since Darkseid is not actually seen in any of the stories within the issue.

Miniature Black Suit Superman Figurine

This miniature black suit Superman figurine is part of the Justice League 2021 Micro Collection set. He is based on the Zack Snyder's Justice League movie. which I have yet to see. Yes, he does look like he is leaning to one side.

Miniature Cyborg Figurine

This miniature Cyborg figurine is a new one for the Justice League 2021 Micro Collection set. He is based on Ray Fisher from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. To me, this version always looked more machine than Victor Stone. I still think he belongs more with the Teen Titans and I would have loved seeing any of the green heroes (Green Arrow, Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter) in the movies instead..

Miniature Armored Batman Figurine

I was at the local Dollar Tree a few days ago when I saw that they had the new Justice League figurines from Micro Collection. Three of the six are repackaged versions of the miniature Dark Batman figurine, miniature Superman figurine and miniature Wonder Woman figurine. The differences in packages are subtle with the new 2021 versions having the Micro Collection logo in the lower left hand corner and the Mattel logo in the lower right hand corner above the DC Comics logo. This miniature Armored Batman figurine looks like the version in the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. It's a nice Batman variant although I wish they had a different version of Aquaman and Wonder Woman too.

Women Wednesday: Doctor Moongem Meets Huntress, Supergirl and Zatanna

While I was playing Doctor Moongem in DC Universe Online, I got to meet the Huntress, Supergirl and Zatanna. The Huntress actually had me find clues in the Justice League Watchtower (that place is huge and easy to get lost even with the map). I had to save Supergirl before helping her save Superman. I actually helped Zatanna on a couple of missions.

Correction: Miniature Justice League Figurines

There are actually two miniature Justice League Figurines that Mattel put out and that I picked up at the local Dollar Tree. The 2018 line includes Aquaman, Batman, Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman. The 2019 line includes two different versions of Batman (the classic light blue and gray costume and the black costume with dark gray cape), Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman. The Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman figurines are the same from both years. The 2018 Justice League logo is red while the 2019 logo is blue. I didn't notice the different logos until I was hanging them up on my wall. I'm not sure if there is or will be a 2020 line of the miniature Justice League figurines for I couldn't find any information about them online.

Miniature Joker Figurine

I picked up this Miniature Joker Figurine earlier this week at the local Dollar Tree. He is part of the second Justice League miniatures that Mattel put out in 2019. He stands about 2-3/4" and is leaning on his gold walking stick. His costume is the classic purple suit.

Miniature Dark Batman Figurine

I found this Miniature Dark Batman Figurine at the local Dollar Tree earlier this week. His costume is all black but his cape is dark gray. He stands about 2-3/4" and was produced by Mattel in 2019 as part of the second Justice League line of miniatures. He is different from the first Miniature Batman Figurine and the Miniature Light Batman Figurine.

Miniature Light Batman Figurine

I found the second series of Justice League miniatures at the local Dollar Tree a few days ago. I call this one the miniature light Batman figurine because he is in his classic light blue and gray costume. He is different than the first Miniature Batman Figurine that I picked up, which is from the first series. He is standing and looking to one side instead of looking straight ahead. This was produced by Mattel in 2019 and stands about 2-1/2".

Miniature Batman Figurine

This Justice League miniature Batman figurine is the last one in the set that I picked up at the local Dollar Tree. What strikes me odd is that the black bat symbol on his chest is outlined in yellow. This marks him as the Rebirth Batman so I can only assume that the rest of the Justice League members are also from the Rebirth era of DC Comics.

Women Wednesday: Miniature Wonder Woman Figurine

Not only is today Earth Day but it's also Women Wednesday. This week's edition is a Justice League miniature Wonder Woman figurine. I actually picked one up about a month ago at the local Dollar Tree and forgot all about posting a picture. I then picked up another one a few weeks ago so I now have two of her.
