El otro día pude por fin estrenar un par de cosas que tenía pendientes: el reglamento de Lion Rampant y las figuras de ESDLA en 10mm. Las listas fueron las siguientes:

Inicio de la partida: Durante los primeros turnos fallamos bastantes chequeos de órdenes, así que el avance fue un poco lento.

Todo parecía perdido para los hombres de Gondor, pero el ímpetu de los orcos les llevó a arriesgarse demasiado... Su capitán murió en un desafío contra el capitán de los hombres y las unidades de orcos, que habían derrotado a varias unidades enemigas, estaban tan mermadas que no pudieron hacer frente a la última unidad de lanceros y los arqueros.

En un solo turno se cambiaron las tornas, momento en el cual se acabó la partida (el final es aleatorio cuando quedan 5 unidades o menos sobre la mesa). Una unidad de lanceros y otra de arqueros quedaban aún sobre la mesa, pero todos los orcos habían sido exterminados, a excepción de la unidad de hombres del este. ¡Victoria por tanto para los hombres de Gondor!

Suddenly, in one turn the tables turned, at which point the game is over (the game ends randomly once there are five units or less on the table). A unit of spearmen and another of archers were still on the table, but all the orcs had been exterminated, except for men of the east. Victory for the men of Gondor!
Me ha gustado bastante el reglamento. Tiene cosas que me recuerdan a Warmaster (mi reglamento fetiche) pero aplicadas a una escaramuza y planteadas de una forma más sencilla (las órdenes para activar, por ejemplo, en lugar de hacerse con liderazgo 8 se hacen a 5+ en 2d6). Solo hay una cosa que no me ha gustado y que no he entendido muy bien el por qué, y es que hay que dejar 3" de espacio entre unidades (jugando a 28mm). Me parece mucha distancia, aunque como yo voy a jugar a 15mm probablemente reduzca las distancias a la mitad y no se note tanto. En fin, estoy deseando jugar alguna partida más y probarlo con las figuras de 15mm que estoy pintando de El Guerrero nº 13.

I do like the rules. Some things remind me Warmaster rules (my fetish ruleset) but applied to a skirmish game and showed in a simpler form (the activation orders, for example, rather than using leadership 8 are just a 5+ to go with 2d6). There is only one thing I did not like..., you must leave a 3" distance between units (playing with 28mm). It looks like a lot of distance to me, but as I will play 15mm I´ll likely reduce the distances by half and thus it won´t be so much distand. Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing some more games and try the 15mm figures I'm painting for The 13th Warrior.
