Calaïs [Argonauts]

Y este es el último argonauta que me quedaba por pintar. Calais, hermano de Zetes. Ambos Boréadas jugaron un importante papel en el viaje de los argonautas.

And this is the last argonaut I have to paint. Calaïs, brother of Zethes. The Boreads played an important role during the journey of the Argonauts.

He usado las alas de una apía de Ral Partha para hacer la conversión. Estoy muy contento con el resultado, aunque las alas de Zetes quedan pequeñas en comparación.

I´ve used the wings of a Ral Partha Harpy for the conversion. I´m very happy with the result, though Zethe's wings now look small in comparison.

Phineus [Argonauts]

En agradecimiento por liberarle de las arpías, Fineo reveló a los argonautas el camino que debían seguir en su viaje y les indicó cómo atravesar de forma segura las Simplégades.

Acasto, hijo de rey Pelías, en algunas versiones se unió a los argonautas en contra de los deseos de su padre.

Lynceus [Argonauts]

Linceo poseía una vista tan prodigiosa que era capaz de ver a través de los objetos. Participó junto a su hermano Idas en la expedición de los argonautas.

He cambiado la espada de la figura original por una lanza.

Hydra [Argonauts]

Como ya tengo pintados a la la mitad de mis argonautas he empezado a pintar algunos de los peligros a los que se tendrán que enfrentar. El primero es esta hidra (de Wargames Foundry).

As I have already painted half of my argonauts I´ve started painting some of the dangers they will have to face. The first one is this hydra (from Wargames Foundry)

 

La miniatura es preciosa y está claramente inspirada en la hidra de la película (aunque más pequeña y sin cresta). Sin embargo, las piezas no encajaban muy bien y he tenido que rellenar muchos huecos con masilla, y además tiene unas líneas de molde bastante complicadas de quitar sin eliminar detalles... De hecho, al pintar me he dado cuenta de que me he dejado alguna...

The model is beautifull and clearly inspired by the hydra of the film (though smaller and without crest). However, the pieces do not fit very well and I had to fill many gaps with putty, and also it has some mold lines rather complicated to remove without removing details ... In fact, when painting it I realized that I left some...

Heracles & Peleus [Argonauts]

Qué puedo contar yo de estos dos grandes héroes griegos, los famosos Heracles y Peleo, que no se haya dicho ya...

What can I say about these great greek heroes, tha famous Heracles and Peleus, that hasn´t already been said?

La figura de Heracles es mucho más alta que los otros argonautas. Como me parecía un poco exagerado he usado una base un poco más fina para compensar.

The Heracles model is much taller than the rest of the argonauts. As I thought it was slightly overstating I´ve used a base a bit thiner in order to compensate this.

La porra de Heracles está hecha de masilla. No me gustaba la original
