Sony DTC-690 (via toslink @ 16-48) > Audacity (clean up and convert to 16-44) > CD Wav > Flac (Level 8)

Source is from my reel to reel tape of the original King Biskit Radio broadcast in 1974.
This original airing gives us a complete 33 minute Karn Evil # 9.
The noise floor is a little higher on this version than on the 1996 re-broadcast.
There is also a slight warble in places-that was the Dokorder.

Cable FM > Phillips AH-6371 Tuner > Mitsubishi HS-U650 VHS HI FI > Fostex CR-200 > Wav (via EAC secure) > Audacity (clean up) > Flac (Level 8)

Source is from my (audio only) VHS HI FI tape of the re-broadcast of the King Biskit Radio broadcast in 1996.
(I worked graveyard and I would set the timer on my VHS HI Fi to record the weekly King Bisket show every Sunday night)

A much different version than the original King Biskit broadcast on disc 1.
This time King Biskit broadcasts an edited version of Karn Evil #9 leaving out the solos.
To fill in the lost time they include an additional 4 songs from a 1977 broadcast.
Sad that the new KBFH management were so isolated from the fans that didn't realize we would rather hear the show unedited.
The people in charge of distributing music only seem to understand "hit making machines" (notice I didn't refer to them as bands).

The sound quality is better on this disc.

Memories:
I was at this Anaheim concert with my friend Mark DeMelt and it was an incredible show. Included a scan of my ticket stub in the artwork as I thought that you all might enjoy that. Jumped for joy when the King Biskit broadcast some of this concert a few months later.

08 Fanfare for the Common Man / Show Me the Way to go Home 21:18

Appears to be the same broadcast that the bootleg LP "Works 1/2" was produced from although the sound (and crowd noise) is different. Overall the audience is quieter in the mix but you can still hear the cry "We luv* you Keith" during the Piano Concerto excerpts.

This is definitely Wheeling - Keith: "How you feeling, Wheeling?" (after Hoedown)

There is some uncertainty about the date. This was originally listed as the 12th Nov. and the venue as Wheeling Coliseum. "Works 1/2" is also listed as the 12th.

This is part of the Atlasstar Attic Treasures Series. My attic consists of thousands of cassettes collected since the 70's. I will post them in no particular order as I pull them out of the attic and convert to digital. Some of these artists I know well and collect myself, other I know little about just picked up along the way. I will provide as much info as I can but if anyone can add any insight to the recordings it would be appreciated. If the same recording is circulating in better quality please let me know as I have no intention of polluting the trading pool.
