Another great performance by Soundgarden, once again having a good time on stage and interacting with the fans. At one point Chris Cornell throws a fan in the crowd a tour shirt, and in turn, wears his Canada sweater for the remainder of the show before throwing it back to him. A great night.

A weird source, unfortunate that it has an odd flaw in that tracks 7 & 8 are inexplicably different than the rest; flimsy, weak, mono. A real shame as the first 6 songs are capped in a full-bodied blaze of stereo. Hard to say if it's the out-of-phase of a squished stereo source or if it's just one sided-mono, but it really kills the excellent mood that this had going. I did my best to bring it closer to the rest, and it works, but still unfortunate. Anyway, short rockin' set from the early Soundgarden years.

These are all fresh rips from the original discs, done just for these remasters. Over 6hrs of music. None of this material is officially released. I think most of these are complete sets, except Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chili Peppers. 1992 was my first and favorite Lollapalooza year. 

All shows audience recordings, all sounded so-so but needed a little help. Track splits are all re-done. I created a separate txt file and folder for each disc. 

Included are scans of the box set cover. Vol 1 cover I scanned myself. Vol 2 cover vanished long ago so I found images online. 
Also included a scan of my ticket from the Dallas 1992-09-06 show. What a fantastic day... :-)

I always wondered why the dvd audio of this show sounded better than the bootleg cd audio circulating in .shn format.

Both are from the same pro video source, but the two versions definitely sound different.

Spectral samples are included, as you can see the difference as well.

The .shn version cuts at 16kHz, but the dvd audio is clear up to 22.  

This remaster is directly from the dvd audio, not the .shn source.

Fixed the drops in Gun and Ugly Truth, but there are still skips where the drops were.  

Balanced volume levels throughout the show.

Added a slight fade-in/out at the start and end.

Great show, the video is a must-see.  Eddie Vedder sings backing vocals on Outshined.

Nice pro shot video of a fine Soundgarden Lollapalooza set. Was apparently a cool day in July as the temperature coupled with the rain resulted in a massive fogbank coming off the bodies in the crowd. Sometimes it looks like the band is performing in the steamroom at the Y. This is probably the only time you'll see Chris play a song wearing a bright yellow hooded raincoat like we all sported in 1st grade. Chris plays quite a bit of guitar on this one. Unexpected pleasure - getting a 7 minute version of "Ugly Truth". Ben Shepherd is a nut on this one - flailing, spinning, goose-stepping, fighting - you get a bit of it all.
