Xavel made a name for themselves in 2015 when they released IEM matrixes of most of the dates on the Rolling Stones' 2015 U.S. tour. Since then, their releases typically have at least some wireless source in the overall mix, and almost without exception have been excellent. Recently, they have begun issuing a series of IEM matrixes from the early part of U2's 2018 "Songs of Experience" tour.

Sound quality is excellent. They seem to have done a pretty good job of de-emphasizing the click track and countdown between tracks; the only drawback is that it would be nice if they had used a good audience source to fill in the mix. Since it's only wireless, you have the tradeoff between sort of sterile sound vs. no audience interference.

Reviews were mixed for this tour, although few people thought it stood up well in comparison to their 2015 "Songs of Innocence" tour. With the benefit of hindsight, I think it did have its moments even if it didn't ever fully come together.

If you're a U2 collector and don't mind the unique sound that comes from IEM sources, chances are that you'll want some or all of these recordings.

This to my ears is the best quality recording of any of the "TEE" catalogue shows I have heard; the sound is crystal clear and well balanced, with a mostly super respectful and very quiet audience that never disturbs the recording. if anything the vocals sound slightly echoey - otherwise this recording is a real treat!

NOTE: The Double Shot cover is shown on screen between virtually every song! 
There is also a small XAVEL watermark on the lower right side of the screen for the duration of the video.
XAVEL must want people to be well aware of who produced this DVD.

I am *extremely* disappointed that 155 minutes of video content was crammed onto one DVD5 disc.
If XAVEL was insistent on using the obsolete DVD format for Double Shot, a DVD9 disc would have been much more appropriate. 

The main angle is once again the wide angle full stage shot from the back of venue.
This angle reminds of me of those Montreal concert videos from the 80s that were shot by Pierre.
The second angle is slot from the lower level section right in front of the stage on Slash's side.
This angle looks AWESOME!! 

Unfortunately, this angle is only shown for about 20% of the show, it was also lifted from Youtube.

The April 9th video is superior to the April 8th DVD.
Everything clicked for the band, filmers, and tapers, in the audience on Saturday April 9, 2016! 

Please feel free to re-author this release onto a DVD9 or 2 DVD5 discs using the Double Shot lossless audio as a PCM soundtrack. All I ask, is that you provide me with a copy of the finished product.

While hanging out with Limulus in Las Vegas on the eve of the Guns N' Roses Double Shot at T-Mobile Arena, I recall mentioning that I had a good feeling XAVEL would be on site capturing IEM feeds of both nights. Upon learning XAVEL did in fact capture IEM feeds of both GNR Sin City reunion shows, I immediately placed my order for 2 of the pressed 4CD/2DVD Las Vegas 2016: Double Shot packages.

I'd like to encourage XAVEL to release both Double Shot video recordings on a single pressed 50GB Blu-Ray disc.I'd happily buy the GN'R Vegas 2016 performances if they were released in full HD/Hi-Vision.The XAVEL GN'R Vegas video source material definitely has potential!!

I'd like to STRONGLY encourage Guns N' Roses Inc. to release both Las Vegas 2016 gigs in Blu-Ray/DVD/CD/Digital Download format. Releasing the Vegas reunion shows would be easy money and would eradicate these pesky bootlegs!
