In the following you can read a one page story written and drawn by well-know Italian artist
Otto Gabos. It's an apocryphal adventure of
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, episode XXVI of a larger (and untold) story titled "When an Empire Falls". It's not "canon" but... it's a very funny and intriguing page and, I confess, I would like to get more.
The story is at page 233 of the sold-out volume and it appears

Otto Gabos (1962, Cagliari) is a well-known Italian comics artist and writer. He started his career in the middle of the '80s and since then he has worked for the most important Italian and French publishers. In recent years he realized several graphic novels such as
Esperanto (2008, KSTR Casterman, Paris),
Sarti Antonio, come cavare un ragno dal buco (2010, story by Loriano Macchiavelli, Leonardo Publishing, Parma) and
La giustizia siamo noi (2010, story by Pino Cacucci, 24/7 BUR Rizzoli, Milano).
Since 1985 he lives in Bologna where he currently teaches comics art at the Academy of Fine Arts.
