3rd album by Medieval Steel. The band sounds sharp and tight, vocalist Bobby Franklin can still get it done, and that classic US metal sound is solidly in place. That said, the songwriting is weaker this time out, with more repetition and vocal lines that are not as good to start with and don't benefit from being repeated too many times. This is not a bad album, but it can't match what this band has done before.

7th album by Ice War. You can hear some Maidenesque gallops, some hard rockish and even rock-style melodies that take you back a few decades, some '80s-style more commercial melodies can be found here as well, very catchy stuff. But there's an undeniable epic heavy metal feel throughout most of the album, and that will immediately remind you of a number of more modern epic heavy metal bands that have been gracing our ears in the past 15-20 years.
