Janey's Carnation

There was sketch on challenge I fancied doing and I have this fabulous Carnation/Dianthus Digi from Janey's Designs and thought it was perfect.
It was bit fiddly with all the layers and I used a Spellbinder die to ink inside the to give a simple card more depth.
Then I used a sentiment and the sketch went out the window I preferred it this way and I wasn't convince that was all it needed. Found a strip of Pink and I had to have a bit of ribbon but decided to make a flat bow so in case it would fit in normal post.

Hubby has asked for a card for the lady who is having their 98th Birthday I think this one will work.
Well Mr Virgin has improved but he still like dropping out just to remind me he's not perfect but Hubby had a couple days off work so we've been out and about. So I should be able to gauge how bad he really is.
Meanwhile my post for the new Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge is schedule so back at 2pm

Forget Me Not

I've had that frame die from Memory Box for ages and I'm pretty sure I've never used or if I had maybe only once. It needed to be used and I decided to use with Janey's Digi Designs Forget Me Knots. I'm such a bad DT member I've had them coloured for ages.
Trouble is my Mojo is definitely not here and I've used some old favourites to help me make the card. The embossed strip folder is from Stampin Up and the other one is Lifestyle. Over use of the pearls on both the embossing folder and the flowers.
The sentiment is also Stampin Up and finished with a bit of ribbon which was really to hide the join between the two bits of embossed card.
I shall be back at 2pm with my Simon says Stamp Challenge card.

Wind Flower

I love how this turned except one thing but more about that later. I'm using the Freshly Made Sketch and the flowers are Wind Flower a digi from Janey Digi Designs, I particular like this flower cos it has the leaves as well.
I did have issues I cut the centres out and then I went and did something stupid like dotted them with a white pen looked awful but saved by Micro Beads, well I'm not keen on them but its not a wasted card.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up and the dotty paper is by them as well.
So my biggest bug is the ribbon it is no way that colour, its obviously to do with light shadow and a camera with a life of its own.
I delighted (not) to inform you that I have a cold and feeling a bit pants but I reckon Mr Mojo has legged it rather than get one himself so it will be interest what I shall be making this week!

Daylily Beth

I love Janey's Digi Designs Daylily Beth but I have admit to being scared to colour them because I wasn't sure I could do them justice but I love how they turned out.
I decided to use them on CAS card so that they would pop. I used the Memory Box Pearl lace but I cut a strip of yellow to go under the dots but realised that the colour doesn't quite show through that well.
It just so happened that I had the All Occasion stamp and Banner set from Simon Says Stamps on my desk it seemed wrong not to use them.
Another card for Less is More challenge.

Icelandic Poppy Seed Head

I haven't felt the love of making cards and Mr Mojo has definitely been missing but I've had the idea of this card using Icelandic Poppy Seed Head from Janey Digi Designs. I printed it out on Ktraft card and also on white card. I then used a clear glitter gel pen to run along all the lines I was seeing double by the end and of course you can't see it in the photo.
The centre was made using the images on white card and coloured, then cut out and layered. I was worried I should of printed on Kraft card but it turned out OK.
The finishing touches were to use a white pen for all the end blobs of the lines and white sentiment. It turned out much better than in my head if only the camera had captured it better.

Poppies

I saw a sketch on my travels and I didn't write down where or the sketch. So I thought I would try it with Janey's Digi Designs poppy. I was going to try and merge them but my photo shop doesn't do the same thing twice!
I printed them out as I would normally in this case I printed 3 poppies for each actual poppy on my card. The leaves and stems are cut from a Memory box Chloe and Tulips. The back ground is from a retired Stampin Up set and the sentiment is again from Stampin Up.
Check out other samples of Janey's Digi Designs here.
Of course this wasn't my first attempt, the first card was too small for the gorgeous poppies.

But I wasn't going to waste it so I added a Memory box butterfly with some tiny ones and pearls to finish.

Janey's Dropwort

Ahhh I think I've cracked the Less is More challenge for Friends this week rather than put the oval on a small card I put it on a square so now there's lots of white space.
Now looking at it, its very plain but I love Janey's Digi Designs Dropwort and I'm so lucky to be asked to be on her DT but don't tell anyone I've promised the family no more design teams. Good job Jane is happy for me to make a card when I can and I'm eyeing up the poppy with a bit of merging.
Now I know these are not the proper colours for dogwort and it seems I'm having a lilac moment but the Wisteria Wonder inkpad is in the dining room with me as is the paper. So if the cold weather continues be warned that they may be more lilac moments.
The sentiment was on set I used for the other lilac card this week and how could I not use Spellbinders Floral Oval. I coloured the dropwort with my pencils but I use a white pen for the pollen. Even more impressed it fits through the normal post slot.
Oh dear I've accidently changed the name of the flower its actually called Dropwort sorry Jane.
