Christmas Fiddler

I thought I had schedule this post then I realised that it was a card I made last minute for this weeks Everybody Art Challenge which was for a Sketch.

First confession I have cheated a little with the sketch, there's two mats at the edge of the image mat and I just so happened to used the fence has one of them and I took it over the image mat. The second one is the lamplight but I'm glad to I did cheat a little because I like how it turned out.

The papers are last years Simple Stories Christmas papers and my image is from Sassy Cheryl but I think I brought it when she discontinued a lot of images and sold them at a dollar.

The poinsettia is a die from Simon Says Stamp called Poinsettia Parade and I'm pretty sure the holly is from Penny Black die but I think they've retired it now.

Do check out the team and I hope you can join us this week.

I've still haven't tidy up my scrapbooking bags, I will need to do this even if I'm card making but I think today will still be a rest day. I had a brilliant time and pleased with what I managed to do although Hubby's book still isn't done yet but a few more pages added.
Thank you everyone for the fabulous Birthday Wishes

Santa

Another really quick card, first off I used the Simon Says Stamps Bundle of Stitched Shapes, this makes the card small than our A5 cards but for CAS I don't think this a problem and it fits fine in a c6 envelope.
My Santa is from Sassy Cheryl, he was left over from last year but I he such a fab image I should use him more often.
I literally stamped the sentiment from the Be Joyful set from Simon Says Stamp and added some sequins.
I had to wait for the silcone glue to dry before added the Flower soft and Fun flock mixture to his hat.
I didn't quite get sequins but getting used to using them  now so that means they will be going out of fashion soon.

Coffee Anyone

The challenge this week at Everybody Art is for using Tea and Coffee packaging a bit of cheating here and just used a bit down the side but the tea have made some wonderful items.
Also I forgot how to use frantage and it all worked out a bit of mess. You don't need to use versamark just sprinkle the frantage and heat from underneath. All this realised after I messed it up.
The sketch is from Friday Sketch Challenge and my little coffee drinking is from Sassy Cheryl. The little snowflake are using MFT with a little heart button that I found in my stash.
Do pop over and check out the team.

HoHoHo

Oh my goodness my PC is soooooo slow this morning, I had to upload my card from the camera so I would be able to enter the Less is More challenge this week but its taken nearly 45minutes to get my card here onto Blogger. Guess I will be doing a bit of a clean up when I get back from swimming.
Anyway back to the card its using the LIM sketch and the image is from Sassy Cheryl ages ago but the small snowmen looked too fiddly to cut. So I coloured them and then cut out the whole snowmen including the gloves etc.
Yes I know my Merry Christmas is crooked its only when I looked at on the PC screen did I realise, its straight now but I can't attempt another photo and upload till I've had a go fixing my PC.

A Sassy Day

You can tell I was running out of time last week when it came to making cards for this week.  This is a pretty clean cards expecially when I fussy cut.
A sentiement might of helped. I think the papers are Kaiser and I used the Memory Box scallop border die which I lost but so pleased I found it especially has I couldn't find a replacement.
My Favourite Things crochet border die had to be used for round the oval and the finishing of a ribbon, no suprise there. My only embellishments ate the tiny hearts from Simon Says Stamp.

So today I have to make cards otherwise no cards for the rest of the week, did think I would have felt like making some but it just hasn't happened.

Sassy's Ladybird

The centre image mat is straight I tell you, I've had a ruler out to measure and everything. Of course its the camera fault not the photographer. The papers are leftovers no idea whose they were and of course my sweet image is from Sassy Cheryl.
No idea where the sketch comes from I made this card before Christmas and it seems ages ago.
The mini scallops is a Memory Box die and my ladybirds (ladybugs) are a Elizabeth Designs die. The sentiment is a stamp that is on my desk that I've no idea from either, gosh the brain's not working today.

A Sassy Christmas

I haven't brought any images from Sassy Cheryl lately so I've remedied this by buying this sweet image. The papers are LOTV new packs from Nit Wits and the sketch was Sweet Sketch Wednesday from a couple of weeks ago.
I was also practicing the liquid pearls but this was before I discovered that I could use the Falling snow stencil to help me do random though I haven't used it round an image yet but I reckon the same principle will work on them too.
The poinsettia are Spellbinders and the border is MFT die cut twice, the sentiment is a grey one rubber one floating about on my desk no idea whose but guessing it could be LOTV.
Not sure if there will be any craft making today my mum is very poorly with pneumonia.

Skating Sassy

I decided to buy some digi's from Sassy Cheryl since I haven't brought any new ones lately and I saw this Skating Sassy, although I think she is called Maddie.
Also saw the Sweet Sketch Wednesday and thought I should have a go this week. Since the papers are busy I left it fairly simply bit of lace and ribbon. A few glittery snowflakes and my favourite sentiment at the moment from Simon Says Stamps.
Well the craftroom has taken over the house, the only rooms safe are the living room, our bedroom although the built in wardrobe is hiding some magazines and my daughters room who has her own craft stuff. It still not empty

Two Colours

Its time for another challenge on Everybody Art Challenge and we looking for two colours, I've used Pink and Green and pretending that white is neutral and doesn't count!
The image is another Sassy Cheryl that she had on sale before she moved completely to her new shop website.
The papers are LOTV from Nitwits and the Floral Oval from Spellbinders which has to be on the best buy list. The flowers are a couple of EK success punches and the leaves are from CC Designs.
Ususal suspects to finish Lace, ribbon, pearls and a lot of glamour dust on her wings.
I've just realised that the sketch is for the latest The Sketchy challenge.
Do hope you can join us and don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to check out the fab creations from the team.
You may not have noticed but I've added a For Sale page with some stamps and I plan to add more as soon as I photo and resize them to save my gallery space.

Big Hat

Something CAS for Sunday with a touch of Spring, another card using one of Sassy Cheryl's sale images.
The papers are Doodlebug with the Memory Box Pearl Lace die and the daisy is MFT die. Just needs a bit of ribbon and job done.
I'm afraid there will be a few of these types of cards while I'm so busy and having to have recovery days.
Yesterday it was a Hen Do, so it was a trip to London for a meal and a show but we left the clubbing to the youngsters.
We had a lovely meal then it was a bit of mad dash to the Dominion Theatre to see We Will Rock You. While not a great lover of Queen there is nothing like live music and I loved the humour.
So today I will be paying for my outing but I had planned a couple of rest days.
Good News that the Mason Jack and his Mum are now home.

Sale sassy

I brought a couple of Sassy Cheryl images that were in her sale before she closed her old shop down and this was one of them.
I pretty sure I've used a sketch from somewhere but its probably late and I can actually remember whose it was. I'm still on CAS kick at the moment but sometimes they work out well.
The papers are Doodlbug and the I think the flowers are a punch or they could be CC Designs but the centres are definititely a punch.
So who like me is cheesed off now with Winter I'm so fed up with the cold but there's a hint of a Spring at the weekend with the North Easterly wind changing to the West then we will be moaning that we are sick of rain.

Sassy Cheryl

The crooked photographer is back, I knew I had something to do before we went to MIL this weekend, take another pic.
As you can see I used a Sassy Cheryl image and I wasn't sure it would work using the Sketchy Challenge sketch but as you can see I think it worked out well.
The papers are LOTV and the doily is a die but I'm not acutally sure whose, I thought perhaps its Marianne but don't hold me to that. I also used a circle die to cut the inside out. The flowers are the Phlox die from Memory box and to finish a bit ribbon and lace.
Having a bit of a recovery day and since the weather has turned chilly again it might be a good idea to keep out of my craftroom.

Sending a Kiss

When I first saw the sketch on Sketch Saturday I was in two minds whether to attempt or not but I'm so glad I did. The first plan of action was to work out the size of the image mat then to find out which doily die would fit. I did have prob with the blue colours but of course the ribbon is not that colour in real life its a bit lighter, bad camera.
Once I added the Memory box floral die along with some of their flower dies it really did fall into place and now I'm glad I had a go.
The image is from Sassy Cheryl and I think it could work for lots of different themes but I added the Stampin Up sentiment which is kinda cute.
Its warmed up a couple of degrees so its back to the craftroom to catch up with a few cards and to pack my Scrapbooking Tote I'm off to MJ's for the day on Saturday. So fingers crossed I get a few pages done for my Christmas Album.

Sassy Clean and Simple

I needed a card for today but I was very tired from an awful nights sleep and I remembered that Sassy Cheryl Challenge was for clean and simple and I had this sweet image coloured, just waiting to be used.
It helped that I had just this square of the Doodlebug papers which I gutted so I had a piece to punch out the flowers.
I marked the corners of the image mat with a pencil dot so I knew roughly where the square was so when I drew my squiggly lines it was still look like a square.
The sentiment is from Stampin up and using the corner of a square punch to make banner shape.
I'm quite pleased how she turned out.

Whoops I forgot

Something really bright and sunny for a wet and windy weekend and that yellow isn't really has bright as that in real life so not sure whats happened there.
I've used the latest Sketch and Stash sketch and the fabulous cute image from Sassy Cheryl, I think she is perfect for a belated card and I had to generate the sentiment on the computer.
The papers are Nitwits Lifes Little Monsters papers do love their papers but I really can't justfied buying too many because of all the overflowing papers I've already got.
Quite a successful day card making just need a few days like that and I will feel the pressure lifted.

Something for Monday

Something bright and sunny for a Monday and not a Christmas card starting to get fed up with them now but I'm pretty sure I've enough now but still have a few images coloured and ready to go so a few extra for Mums Christmas Fair.
This little darling is from Sassy Cheryl and she is the sponsor for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday which is where I've taken the sketch from, only seemed right to use for her for it.
The papers are from Dove Craft I think and the Woodware Daisy punches for the flowers. The trellis is a Martha Stewart punch two strips stuck together  and I used the deep edge daisy punch for round the circle.
All finished with a bit of ribbon and a Craftwork cards sentiment.
I've sat down with the other half who has quite a few days off in the next few weeks so I need to get myself up to date and even quite a bit ahead of myself with my craft commitments cos I think I'm going to be dragged out kicking and screaming to do Christmas shopping.

Sassy Clown

I had to mirror the sketch on Sketch Saturday because I had decided to use the Sassy Clown but  it didn't look right  exactly like the sketch.
Once I decided to use the clouds the rest fell into place and since it was quite busy I left it clean and simple. Just flowers using the Martha Stewart snowflake punch for leaves and a small  flower punch and then it was a handmade banner with a sentiment. The papers are Echo Park possibly Happy together but don't hold me to that its nearly all gone.
I've put a few things up for sell on a FB group and sold two things so far but learning something new about Paypal everyday. I'm going to attempt to set up a PO account that prints out the postage and address since its difficult for me to get to the PO since most things at the moment are thin enough for a normal post box.

Sassy Snowman

I think you can just about see the Sassy Cheryl Snowman amongst all the bright busy Doodlebug papers and I used Martha Stewart punches snowflakes for the border but you can just make them out too.
The sketch, yes there is a sketch and if you can make it out its from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Went to Scrapbuddies yesterday and started to make the book my Son asked me to do not sure when I can get it finished because another very busy week has crept up on me and I know I'm going to have to pay for it eventually.

A5 Sassy

I promised to use an smaller card for the Sassy Cheryl images but now I'm not sure it works with this little darling.
I've used the sketch from Friday Sketch with a little bit of an alteration with the ribbon. Not sure what paper I've used possibly October Afternoon but don't hold that to me.
Sassy Cheryl has 20% off her images this weekend but it seems Paypal hasn't confirmed the payment so just waiting for that to sort out, only meant to get two images but another popped into the basket too.

Sassy Mickey

I love Sassy Cheryl images and I love Disney kind of a winning compilation. Isn't she adorable Cheryl has made a boy since but I shall have to save up some pennies I've brought so many of them lately and I want the little girl clown too.
I do think they might work better on a A5 card so the next one I make I will give it a try. The floral paper is a scrap and the gingham, also the dotty paper are from Craft Creations. The flower are the Simon Says Stamps exclusive die Bella Bloom but only the centres possible my favourite at the moment.
The sentiment is a retired Stampin Up and finished with a gingham ribbon.
Well I have 9 fully Stampin Up cards for Nikki's Open Day on the 15th September and the day was a great success with the help of Pinterest and I still have ideas in my head or cards I want to case.
I did have issues I didn't have any ribbon since I like the grosgrain I get I don't have any from Stampin Up, luckily Nikki pop by, with some seam ribbon which I don't get get on with much but it did work out.
Today I'm chilling at Scrapbuddies crop, no scrapbooking taking some images to colour and I'm not going to own up to buying the new LOTV papers but I'm glad I did!
