Wedding Card

It made a nice change to make a wedding card and though I’m not keen on headless people once you get passed that it looks ok.

The background was made with Forever Fern from Stamping Up, which was similar leaves in their invitation.

The Bride and Groom dies are MFT and I love that it comes with a swirl to fit inside the dress, just helps to finish the dress.

The sentiment is theirs two but embossed on Vellum and wrapped around the card. It helped that I made all details on apiece of card then stuck that to an actual folded card.

The actual Wedding turned out to be a beautiful day and all went well.

Birthday Rememberance

This is another card I made a few weeks back, you see I made two cards for my Dad and chose the one I liked best. This is the other card using an old Stampin Up stamp set but I think it would work for a man’s card too.

The green wooden card is again a Stampin Up large stamp, stamped using the matching green ink pad.  The stripy paper was Washi tape which I stuck to white card then cut it, simply don’t like the fact it’s see through.

Wedding card almost finished waiting for glue to dry before attaching sentiment band.

Sailing

I needed a card for my Dad’s Birthday that I leave at the crematorium, so I pulled out an old boat Stampin Up stamp. I was inspired by a card on Pinterest which used a paint brush ark stamp in different colours thinking I had that stamp set. Oh no I didn’t but I found this stamp and thought I could use it a similar way.

I stamped the boat a couple times on another piece of white card so I could cut and layer the sails. Finally the sentiment is MFT and backed the image panel with Kraft card it is the same size all the way round still a dodgy photographer.

Leftover Patchwork card

Just popping in to let everyone know I haven't forgotten my blog. I just closed the craftroom a bit earlier than normal because it takes me longer to do things round the house now with my dodgy joints and I wanted the house clean and tidy for Christmas.

Today I am putting my craftroom back in order since it was the dumping ground and for Hubbys beer fridge, don't worry there was a couple of bottles of the sparkling stuff that I love inside too.  I just hope I can find all the safe places I put things in.

So I leave you with one of the few Christmas ones that was left in my drafts that I forgot using scraps of pretty Stampin up paper. A Crafters Expression sentiment cut into some pearl silver card that looks better in real life than it does in a photo. I'm amazed the my very old Martha Stewart Holly Punch is still punching out OK and I used some pink gems for berries supposedly to match the pink ones of the papers.

Crafty plans for 2022 is to make Birthday cards for family, try to continue making Christmas Cards all year round so I don't have a mad panic in November but I say that every year. Also to get out my Scrapbooking Stuff I haven't done hardly any for two years. I need to have another go at making crochet clothes I'm collecting loads of finished blankets and have no idea what to do with them.

Leftovers

I had some strips of the beautiful holly paper left over which I couldn’t bear to throw away. So I used it to make a CAS card. The sentiment was made using white embossing powder and a little bunch of Christmas foliage with a single poinsettia.

I have enough Christmas cards and have decided to close down the craft room till after Christmas. Then I’m going to concentrate on cards for family and friends also for Christmas 2022. I also want to get back to Scrapbooking so plenty to do when the craft room reopens.

So for now Merry Christmas.xxx

Stamping Up Christmas

I have been highly inspired by cards on Pinterest especially in this case I actually had the papers, although  the snowflakes and foliage are from various other dies.

The sentiment is an old one from Stamping Up along with punch I used which I also drew round and made a mat for it to help it stand out.

Pretty in Pink 2

Technically the same card as the last post but this is without the strip which in my opinion works better.

Pretty in Pink

Yes it’s those little trees again  this time I used the poinsettia background stamp from Simon says Stamp on some pink card.

The thin panel with the snowflakes on are a die from Stampin up which I’m not convinced works. The oval is a Altenew die and the sentiments are again Simon says Stamp. Finished off with tiny trees.

Haven’t had chance this week in my craft room but may have time today to sort out that baby card out then back on the Christmas card conveyor belt.

Tiny Tree

I got the Whimsical Trees from Stampin Up but all I've done is used these tiny trees. I wanted to make a quick card just so I can used the snow drifts from The Greetery and I absolutely love how a CAS card became a bit more special.

Why the non traditional colours well thats the colours that were on my desk and the sentiment is a very old Stampin up one thats now sitting on my desk because I surprised myself at how straight I placed it on the acylic block. So don't be surprised to see it again.

Last week I made 8 cards not sure how many I get done this week, Christmas present shopping is going on this week plus I now have a baby boy card to make.

Congratulations

I had to make another Wedding card this time I had the idea of using the Stamping up set I think it’s called Forever Fern.

I used Simon says Stamp Congratulations die, I cut it twice with white the once more in gold. The glasses is a stamp  with a matching die.

Apologies for the crooked photo.

Now I’m back making men cards and I can’t show you them till after their birthdays and it’s a bit too hot to make them but I’ve got a deadline.

Bow Ties

Time as seemed to speed up now the better weather is finally here. For some reason it’s even more of a struggle to get into my craft room. I think it’s the need to make masculine cards but there a couple in my drafts so I’m going to make what I fancy for a while.

My sister as mentioned that I’ve gone all clean and simple lately but I’m finding that’s the way to go for men’s cards including these bow ties from Stampin Up. Now I wish I had made extra knots to make it look more 3D but that will have to wait till next time.

Harry Potter

I saw a card on Pinterest and I had to get the dies from Stampin up, I suppose it’s only obvious to Harry Potter fans but I loved the idea. It did take some working out like how to get it central. Need to check Pinterest for other ideas or it was an expensive buy for one card.

Born to Ride

A couple of Men cards that I made using a couple of old Stamping Up stamp sets. Took some inspiration from Pinterest too.

I wasn’t that keen on the embossed one but the other one is Ok. Why are men’s cards so hard and I have more men on my Birthday list than women probably why my mojo is missing and a dodgy shoulder.

Bethlehem

I brought the some patterned paper Stamping Up then had no clue what to do with it. There is a lot of gold involved which surprised me why I chose it I much prefer silver. One thing I realised how many different colours of gold there are.

I have plenty of gold in my stash but the card ones show up the release dots so much I couldn’t use them. In the end I had to cut the dies in gold paper and thin white card to give some depth to the dies which is why there is a white shadow on the die cuts.

To help  give me ideas I checked out Pinterest, so I made some cards using what I had rather than buying yet more stuff. The star is a Simon says Stamp die and the sentiment is a really old Stamping up sentiment and the Eastern Village I brought last year.

Poinsettia Corner

I found a piece of paper with this poinsettia stamped on it, I obviously didn’t like how dark the ink was. So I using the matching dies, cut them out and layered it together. Added some stamens that came the die set.

Not sure on the make of sentiment, I had quite a few stamps out trying to find which would fit in the space that was left.

That was the last card in my drafts, I do have some cards to post but need to take their photo today.

Yesterday was my birthday, in fact this year we had planned for a year of celebration none of which worked out. But it did turn out to be a good day.

Bit of a Mistake

I’m trying to make a card with last weeks Freshly sketch but made a mistake with the portion size of the background. It took so long to stamp the background and colour the snowflakes with a glitter pen which the camera doesn’t pick up, I was not going to waste it though.

I do like my Stampin Up poinsettia but because the divide is in the wrong place the sentiment doesn’t fit.
Hopefully someone won’t mind or realise the errors.

Poinsettia Wreath

Again far to late to enter the Freshly Made Sketch, the sketch I used is #453 published the 16th September.

I hunted through all my Memory Box dies to look for a wreath, found more than one but thought the one above would work with a bit of gold.

Then I dressed it with a chopped up Holly die from Penny Black and a couple of poinsettias from Simon says Stamp. The sentiment stamped and embossed with gold to match the wreath is a Stamping Up one.

All in all simple but turned out OK and if I find myself short of Christmas cards easy to make.

Trio Poinsettia

I was trying to use last weeks Splitcoast Stamper sketch and use poinsettias instead of circles until I realised how big these poinsettias from Stampin Up turned out maybe I should of used the Simon says Stamp ones.
Anyway I wasn’t going to not used the flowers, I used an embossing folder for the falling snow half and it doesn’t show up in this photo but I used an embossing board for stripes. Simon says Stamp sentiment in an old Stamping Up punch that really need matting but hey ho.

This week we should be in Spain and adding the rise in cases my anxiety has taken a battering this week making me worry over everything and everyone.

Stampin Up Nativity

When I was at the retreat someone was using this fabulous Stampin Up set and I loved how easy it was to make a striking card and managed to get a set.

I cut the each die once in white and navy blue, stamped Mary and Joseph and cut out with the matching die. It was quite easy to do and so a few were made.

I'm struggling with a dodgy throat and sinus, have discovered that the microscopic fibres from the wool I'm crocheting it with is making it worse. Which in turn is making me feel quite miserable and want to head straight to the food cupboard to eat my body weight in comfort food. I have 1 1/2lb to lose to get my 3 1/2 stone for Christmas, only two days to weigh in.

Envelope

We are having an envelope theme on Everybody Art Challenge. Now I was sure what was meant by this challenge but time wasn't going to allow me to actually make a envelope nor did I want the stress in making one. So I chose a good quality envelope and decided to decorate it with stamps.

First I had to make some masks for the flowers so that they could overlap, I made five in the end. The foliage and flower stamp are both Stampin Up but could be retired, I know the foliage one is.

I stamped the flowers first and then the foliage moving the masks as I went. I think I may have gone a bit mad but it was quite fun to do.

I decided to do the back, in hindsight I think this is how I should of stamped the front.

Do pop over and check on the team and hope you can join us this week. Meanwhile we off to do a bit of shopping today, I need more white card for stamping my images, stuffing for crochet toys
