Fun with Murphy!

This is Murphy (our cousin). His Mom & Dad went to do a Mountain Bike race (24 hour long relay). So he came to our house for a few days. He sure does like the water. We didn't get to go to the beach. We had to share this pool. It's not real big but it IS a whole lot better than no pool.
Murphy patiently (maybe??) waiting for Sasha to get out.
Murphy just loves Sasha. He is cleaning her up. He especially loves her soft ears.
Mom couldn't get the picture fast enough. Murph was cuddled next to Sasha. She liked it. I was a big jealous. But I got over it - maybe
What a poser!!! Sometimes he ran so hard at the pool to jump in the pool skidded across the patio.
Feeding time. We sure can fill up a kitchen. Those 2 blond dogs take up the most room.
Tasking a break from playing hard. It was warm. Mom caught me trying to eat the dirt out of her plant. I moved away quickly.
OOOH!!!! Look at me fly!! My ears are flopping and my feet aren't even touching the ground. Can I run or can I run!!!!!???
OOPS! Here he comes again. We like to play chase. I am really fast. He is fast too.
I had to really take off. I think he must have caught me napping.
I really put on the moves. He is behind me but not real close. So much fun! I like it when I find someone to play chase with. He chased me and I chased him.
Back in the pool. Sasha waiting her turn.
Sasha loves the water too & finally got to go in. Murphy really gets into it. He lays down, splashes and just goes "crazy" with enjoyment.
I still say the pool is not big enough for all 3 of us. Should have gone to the beach. I like to swim too but when they get in there I just have to wait until they get done. Oh well, Maybe I am just a good host???!
Do you think he is awake or napping? Nah, I took another look and the water is splashing so I guess he is just enjoying himself and cooling off. What a guy!
Think I will have to talk to Mom & Dad about the size of the pool. We had a great visit with Murphy. It was fun. Hope all of you had a great weekend too.

Beach Fun

Hi everyone. We're trying to play catch up. We got some special awards from Indie, Rufus, & Anita. It was really great. We had never gotten one before. BIG Thanks to you. We enjoy your blog and like it when you visit ours. We have made a lot of special friends and we really do enjoy hearing from you all and visiting with you to see what you have been up to. Mom isn't very good yet at responding and forwarding the awards. She is going to do it. She is learning!!!!!! Please be patient with her. The sun was out and it was beautifulllll! Down to the beach we all went. Even Sammy & his Mom.
Sasha & I playing tug o war and Sammy doing his fetch & swim thing.
I Ernie went out a long way to get this stick. At least it was long for me becuz I am just getting into this swimming thing. Mom says I get better every time and seem to enjoy it more.
The three of us heading out into the water. That Sammy is one fast lil dude. He is a Jack Russell Terrier and we understand they aren't usually big swimmers. Nobody told him. He gets in and is like the energizer bunny.
How do you like my pointy tail. I keep it out of the water so everyone can see me better. he he!!
Sammy coming back from a long swim. He looks so little out there. But then he is little.
Sasha searching under the water for stuff. She is really good at that. She has found lots of good stuff. ( half eaten pears, nasty OLD tennis balls, you know stuff like that)
Sammy again. His little legs work very hard. He sure does get a lot of exercise when he swims. He got cold & shivery so we decided it was time to go and head back home. The long way - - - up a hill.
Sasha & I didn't want to give up playing yet. Took Mom a while to get us out 0f the water.
One last tug o war and we headed home. What a fun day.
Wish you could have been there.
Happy days to you!!!

More Fun in the Country

How do you like these big new friends? Chewy is back by the stairs and Maggie is in front.
A closeup of Chewy. They sure are nice and they are big. We had never seen a Tibetan Mastiff until we met these. Their Mom is very nice too. Their house/cabin is not very far from ours when we go to the mountains.
Can you believe - - - The middle of May and there was a snow storm with hail, snow and sleet etc. It was beautiful to see but it did not last long.
Sure was pretty all white like it was.
We found a Chipmunk - - he was a fast little fella and he liked to hide out under the shed. We thought maybe if we double teamed him we could get him. Nah - - - didn't work. But we had fun trying.
Sasha posing and watching for critters. Isn't she pretty?
I am really determined to get hold of that little critter. They sure are fast and good at hiding.
Didn't get the chipmunk so played with my toy rope for a bit. They made me come in for a bit.
Sasha sacked out.... She needs her beauty sleep. BUT I am so handsome I don't need as much.
Back at it again. We share toys but we also try to outwit each other.
I think we are wearing down. It was a big day outside at the cabin.
Sasha taking time out. It was getting warm. The snow didn't last long. The pictures in this edition were taken during the week we were there.
I like resting in the green grass much better. It is cooler. I kind of blend into the log, don't you think??
Mom sometimes goes crazy with the camera. The toy in my mouth really squeaks. I have found out how to work it so it only squeaks when I want it to. I love this one.
I play keep away with Sasha. She doesn't try to take it away -- But she does wait for me to let down my guard.
She likes to run after me and I really like her to chase me. We were having so much fun. We love going to the cabin and spending time in the country. We have heard wild Turkeys, Coyotes, a frog under our porch, and even saw lots of cows and llamas. So many sights, sniffs and fun up there.
Have fun you all.

Mother's Day

We went to visit our cousin Murphy on Mother's Day. It was fun. They have a big yard and we got to run and play. Murphy is the darker Lab. He is about 3 years old.
Molly came out to play with us. She is very nice and likes us all a lot.
Look at Sasha run. Not bad for 9 years old. Murphy is picking up the rubber dummy and I am chasing after Sasha.
Don't I have pretty eyes. Mom was taking pictures and I jumped and got as close to the camera lens as I could.
Don't we look pitiful. We wanted the humans to come outside and play too. They did as you can see from the other pictures. It was a great day visiting Mom & Dad's other son and his wife and Murphy. We were happy to go there. They have a really big yard with lots of room to play and run.
We left there and went to eastern Washington for a week or so. Mom is working on those pictures so she can include some of them next time. Have fun and get in lots of play and sniffs!!!

Off Leash Westcrest Park

We haven't been to this park for awhile. It is very nice. Lots of other pups to sniff and play with.
There is a nice big water dish and were we ever thirsty. They even leave chuckits at the park so humans can throw tennis balls a long way.
Here is me and my favorite girl Sasha playing tug with a stick. We got to go all over the park and get in lots of sniffs and exploring. We did miss the water though. It doesn't have a place to swim.
This little guy is a Cockapoo named Wally who is 4 months old. He really liked us. He kept trying to follow us. Was he ever fast for such a little guy.
And this is Sasha trying to keep away from this man's dog. He thinks Sasha is a very sexy lady. He followed her all over and wanted to mate with her. He's not very smart - - - She is spayed and 9 years old. He actually made her yelp and cry out. We wondered if the man had thought about newtering his dog. Oh Welll,,,, it definitely added interest to our park visit.
A few of the pups we saw. Many different ones at this part of the park. We want to go again. Would be nice if they had a place to swim.
Have a fun day!!
