Arizona & Ernie
Hey everybuddy, It's me Ernie. Thanks for all the good wishes and paws crossed. I am much better. Mom has been making sure I get all my medicine. I think I am pretty much back to my old self again. She puts my meds in some good tasting chicken and rice. Not too shabby.
This is a picture of me getting air and Sasha and I playing in the yard. Sasha and I sure had fun. Still do but this was when it was just the 2 of us. We were chasing tennis balls and other toys. We sure kept them busy throwing. Actually this is a picture of us when I had only been here a week or so. I think I am much handsomer now. I was kinda scrawny.
Mom went to Arizona - Tuscon and Phoenix/Scottsdale a while back and really liked it. She went hiking and seeing the country with a friend of hers. Mom didn't think to put titles to the pictures so some she can't remember exactly the name of the place. It was big, outside of Tuscon and had lots of animals, including an aviary with birds free.

Memory Monday Foster Da Cat
Mom here... I have been wanting to do some memory posts about some of our earlier furiends. This is the first in a series.
This is Foster. He belonged to one of our sons. As it turned out we took care of him "temporarily" for 21 years.
Our son and some of his room mates saved him. The people who lived next door had a dog and a cat who had litter after litter after litter. NOT good.
They did whatever they could to help the little ones. Even so far as calling a Vet to see what they could do about the "goopy eyes" etc.
Our son got the medication for the eyes and they treated them whenever they could catch one. Foster was the cutest. He grew up to be very beautiful both in looks and spirit. When our son finished college, Foster had been tossed out to fend for himself. SO --- Foster came home with him. We took care of him "temporarily" which turned out to be 21 years. He was a wonderful cat. Loved being outside and he never did scratch furniture or cause any problems. He would follow us to the bus and we would tell him to go home. And he did. A couple of times he disappeared.(He was about 12 or 13 yrs) We looked all over thinking maybe he had been run over or???? Anyhow about 3 weeks later he came home. He had been well taken care of. Someone has shaved his tail so it looked like a bottle brush - not the usually flooofy feathery tail he had. But he was in great condition. Someone took him in and took good care of him. Lucky Cat.
This is one of our newest fosters. Dixie. She is about 1.5 years old and is VERY cute, funny, loving. Think she will get a new loving home quickly.
Another of our newest fosters. Amy is a poodle mix. She is about 2 yrs old. Also very cute, loving and happy. When we picked her up she was dirty, matted and really needed a good grooming. Took her to the groomers and voila!!! a beauty queen.. She will also make someone a great furiend, companion.
Thanks for visiting us.

Golden Gardens and a rope walker
Hi furiends, It's me Chica. Got the keyboard again. Think I'm liking this. Ernie deserves a break.... BOL
Me and Lucas checking out the scenery. M didn't get too many pictures of us here cuz she had her camera in her pocket and somehow the setting got changed and with the bright sunshine most of the pics were not good. At least that is her story...
We walked up these stairs - a lot of them. Along the side was a "manbuilt stream" with little waterfalls.
M promised next time she would check the camera settings before shooting pics.
Doing my "rope walking" . The pic below shows where I got the idea.
This is one of the many bad pics. But they had ropes strung between trees and above the ground. People were walking in their barefeet balancing on the ropes and doing stunts. Way kool! I liked where I "rope walked" it fit my feets much better.
Spring is coming. These Camelias were starting to bloom.
This one was open and showing its face to the sun.
Ernie checking out the trail. He knew something had been that way. Never did figure out what it was. Could have been a Coyote or a Fox. There are a lot of them around and living in greenbelts.
Have a fun weekend. It's gonna get even busier at our place. More in the next post... Could it have to do with a transport????

Not so many pups
Hey amigos, It's me Chica!! Ernie's getting ready for a bath, Sasha is still in jail. Only a couple more days to go. It will be good to have her back with us. I miss cuddling with her.
I am practicing strength training. I can tell I am getting stronger each time I lift this weight/dumbell.
This is baby Leo. He is the only foster we have right now. He is very SWEET and loves to play & is 6 months old. Pretty much potty trained already!!! He and Ernie and Lucas chase each other in the yard. Lucas and Leo run and play until they fall asleep. I play too but I keep my eyes on them in case someone gets too rough. After all, it is my job or at least I want them to believe it is.
Leo likes to chew - the good thing is he usually chooses toys to chew on. I tried to teach him to chew on a magazine but M caught us. Leo never touched it again. At least so far. heehee
Jilly was just adopted. She is with a wonderful family and the entire family loves her. M said that when they met it seemed like it was meant to be. Jilly will be mainly a special friend to the 10 year old boy. It seems he is on the shy side and has wanted a dog for a long time. It was love at 1st sight for Jilly and the little guy. It gave Mom "chills" to see how well they were together. The whole family had fun shopping for her crate, food, toys etc.
Well, gotta go. I need a nap. This computing is hard on the paws.
Chica for Ernie,Sasha,Lucas
PeeEss: this is the fewest pups we have had in the house for awhile. It's quieter. Not so bad. BUT we hear M talking . there is another transport coming soon - a couple weeks.

An Award from Opie
We (Ernie, Sasha, Chica, & Lucas) would like to thank Opie and his Mom http://lillij.wordpress.com/ for this wonderful Stylish Blogger Award from Paw Print City Times.
According to the spirit of the award we are supposed to share seven things about ourselves and then nominate 15 wonderful blogs for this great award. That is one very hard thing to do. There are WAY more than 15 we think are special.
We'll see if we can come up with seven random things about us that you might not know. Another hard thing.....
1. Mom likes to walk/hike with us. We like to go too but we don't all get to go at the same time. We take turns and it depends on where Mom goes and how far as to who gets to go. Ernie & Sasha got to go on some long and harder ones. Now that Sasha is getting older & her hips aren't so great, she doesn't go on the long or harder ones.
4. All 4 of us furkids are chow hounds, or members of the clean plate club whatever that means....
5. We like to wear bandanas sometimes and when it is cold we don't mind wearing our muscle shirts or coats M has made for us. Sasha is pretty tough, she doesn't need a coat most of the time.
6.Sasha & Ernie like to play "hide the treat". They are both very good & have different ways of finding them. Sasha is very methodical and has a routine search grid. Ernie likes the faster, random approach to looking. M & D think it is a lot of fun to watch us and see how differently we go after them. Chica & Lucas are in "training".
7. We like to cuddle with M & D, go for rides, eat treats, chase around the yard, play with all the pups M & D foster.
We have been thinking, we do that sometimes. BOL Anyhow, we have so many special pups & people that visit us we just couldn't pick. We are "bending" the rules. Everyone is special SOOOOOO we are nominating all our special followers. If you like the award, please go for it. It will be fun to find out more about all of you.
Happy Wags & Woofs

PeeEss: Thank you again to Opie and his Mom for the wonderful award. It was fun to get it and make/meet new friends. M just had to insert a picture of the bit of snow we had.

2. When we go to the cabin it is my job(Ernie's) to keep watch out for critters. I can stand watch for the longest time. Sometimes a squirrel actually comes close enough for me to scare him off. They think I might be a statue. I really don't want to see the bears or coyotes or bobcats up close & personal. (At least Mom doesn't think it is a good idea)
3. Chica has been to the cabin but when we can go this year it will be Lucas's first time. Chica & Lucas like to go for Long walks too. Mom was surprised when she first took them on a long one. She decided they are sturdier and hardier than she thought. So what if Chica & Lucas are Chihuahua's. Their motto: "We might be little but we are mighty!!!!"4.
