Odds n Ends

We missed everyone. We went on a short trip to the cabin. We went for lots of walks everyday.
Hadley resting after one of our long daily walks.  Who would ever guess she has separation anxiety.

Not saying these are our "favorite" flowers.  They are different!

This is one of Mom's new Iris.  She is getting some more.  They are supposed to bloom more than once a season.  We'll see.  Out of 6 only 2 have bloomed so far.  The other one was kinda gold.

This is a new plant.  It is called a Blanket flower. Doesn't look like any blankets we ever saw.  When we saw this we thought of Murray and Clive  and how Murray likes yellow.  So, Murray if you see this - this one's for you. ;-)

Taken while at the cabin.  This old "nurse log" is gradually going away.  It was a bright sunny day and M had mowed but she left some wild flowers. The purple are Lupines.  Mom calls it her wildflower garden - some have called it weeds.  What do they know.  M likes them and they are pretty. There is a herd of cows roaming freely and  there are some babies too.  They wander around and help keep the grasses down to help minimize the danger of fire.

How embarassing. Looks like we are all in jail.  On the top row from left to right is:  Lucas, Chica, Rosie. On the bottom is Hadley and me Ernie.  I am way in the back of the crate so only the top of my head can be seen.  Don't worry though we got out for walks and could stay on the deck and watch the squirrels and birds.  Rosie tried her hardest to fit thru the bullards.  BUT she is a bit fluffy and has a wide chest.

Hey Mom, you already did this one - maybe my assistant is losing something. I won't say what....

M & D set up their outside shower.  Looks pretty colorful.  They said the floor is even soft and cushy for their feet.  Hoping we can go up again soon and maybe stay longer that a week.  Mom didn't take many pics this time - especially of us. It was good not having to "pose" so often.     We will try and get around to visit all of you our furiends....

We're back again!

Hey everybuddy.... it's me Ernie.    Finally we are back for a bit.  Not sure where all the sun was but we still had a good time and got lots of sniffs and walks.  Of course we all had to be on leash, even though there is lots of room to roam.  We didn't see any but the bears and coyotes have been close by.
Mom got a new toy.  I thought it looked like work but she said it is WAY more fun than pushing the old mower for hours... Didn't look so hard to me.  She likes it's redness....

We took Hadley and Boss with us to the cabin.  She sure had fun running and sniffing and wagging her tail.  She was so busy checking out the place, she had to be reminded to "potty".  Don't think she had ever been to the Country. Sasha stayed home with GG.  Chica,Lucas,Rosie,Hadley,Boss, and I got to go. M said 6 was a lot of dogs but we were all on our best behavior which helped her a lot.  She was so proud of us.  :-)

Yup, she had such a good time she would "crash" and sleep or just rest in M's lap.  Think this was her fave position....
The "flowers" on the Palm tree were blossoming.  Not sure they are a favorite but they are different.  Maybe they aren't even flowers but they aren't  the fronds. As you can tell M isn't a Master Gardener.  She just likes what she likes....

Another view of those almost "flowers".  Maybe they aren't her favorite, but she took multiple pics of them anyway. Think she just likes to click  it.

Now this Mom really likes.  She recently added some Iris to the garden.  She added 6 - only 2 have bloomed so far.  They are supposed to be re-blooming Irises.
The sun kinda washed out the color.  They are very pretty.
Oh yes, Boss (aka Bones to us) was adopted right after we got back.  He now has a 4 year old sister (another Chi) named Chloe. He was fun and we miss him.  His new pawrents are furrrry happy with him.  Mom says he was a sweetie - we say he was full of mischief.  He would wait until we had a lapse in playing with our toys and Then he would come take them and pile them on his bed and play with them. He was either a collector of special toys OR a thief.  Mom liked him being a  collector better that the thief we thought he was.
I am doing better.  M is being very strict with me.  No more lapses on her part.  She has paid more attention, even when the other dogs go out with us. I haven't been able to slip in a jump off the steps.  I have another appointment at the end of June.  It will be 12 weeks since my surgery.  Hoping maybe I can be off leash at least in the yard.....  Have a good week.. Ernie
