Hooray for Edith & Nicky
Hooray for Edith!!! On Saturday there was an Adoption Event & a wonderful family took 2 dogs. Edith and a little tiny Chi who had no hair to speak of. Their children were wonderful too & so good with them. Congratulations Edith!!!! We miss you but we know you are being truly loved there.
Mom didn't come home empty handed though. She & Dad brought Nicky home. She is a Chi/Jack Russell mix. She was scared at first but now she & Chica are becoming friends. I Ernie am getting outnumbered with all the girls in the house. Wonder if Mom will ever bring home a male for me????
Nicky is settling in and not so scared. She is even learning how to go up & down stairs & other stuff.
Sasha & Nicky taking a nap together. Hope she can find her furever home soon. She is also very sweet.
A BIG thanks to all of you our furiends for helping in the Shelter Challenge. Without your help we wouldn't be moving up as quickly as we have been. As of this morning we were at 966 in the overall standings and at #21 inWA state. Thank you for voting for PUP. We started late and were at about 2900 overall and #83 in WA. Couldn't have gotten this far without all you votes. The Challenge ends on April 18. Hugs to you all.

Lake Sammamish Sunny Day
Hi everybuddy, It was a beautiful sunny day and we went to Lake Sammamish to walk on some of the trails & paths. It was full of sniffing time, too. This bridge is wood and crosses the creek that runs through the wetland. We went over it and around the edge of the BIG field.
This is another stream that runs into Lake Sammamish. It was so quiet & peaceful. But there was a lot of sniffing we got to do.
Can't see them very well but there were some geese hanging out in the puddles in this parking lot.
Here we are all reading all the interesting peemail. It was good!! Lots of gossip. Since we don't gossip, we will keep the news to ourselves... probably...
This bridge is over another stream and leads into another big field. So many sniffs there too. Our noses were so full of them -- almost overload..
This path leads to a really nice picnic area. There were lots of peoples there Saturday. And lots of little bipeds & other pups.
Sniffing again. I, Ernie was ready to move on but the girls were still nose to the ground. I said Lets get on with the exploring & move. They finally did.
Trying to decide which way we wanted to go first. Should we go to the right or to the left. We took a vote and went to the right. Was a good choice. Next time maybe we'll go the other direction.
Here we are - even Edith - The 3 of us are grazing but since Edith doesn't have any teeth she just enjoyed the sun and walked around with us.
This is Chica - after our walk she took a nap. (We all did)
She was sitting with Mom and when Mom got up she just stayed there. She does sleep in some interesting if not strange positions sometime. She's still cute.
Mom took a closeup up Edith's pretty face. She is a sweetie.
Thanks to everyone of you for voting for us in the Shelter Challenge. Thanks to your help we moved up from #2900 overall where we were when we started late to # 1032 overall. We have moved from #83 when we started to #24 now in WA state. We have a link at the top of our blog post that if you click on it you can vote. THANK YOU for all your help.

Almost Wordless Wednesday
Well, Edith had someone who was interested in her but they pulled their application. M & D are glad because maybe they weren't the right people for her anyway. So, for now Edith is continuing to stay with us. She is becoming such fun. She prances, twirls & even runs to Mom sometimes.
No pics of us today. Mom was looking through pictures and decided to take over & include a couple of pics. This is a river in Oregon that we like. It is the Middle Fork Willamette River.
This was a hike at Snow Lake in the Cascades of Washington in the fall. It was so beautiful.

If Edith doesn't want it.....
Hi everybuddy,
Ernie here. This is my "piglet" friend. AKA Chica. I don't know where she puts the food but she never seems to get enough. Mom tries to keep her to the right amount for her size. But gotta watch her.
Edith was feelin' poorly and didn't want to eat or drink. Chica couldn't take seeing her food just sit there.
Edith is resting & Chica was really working to get at the food. We didn't know her lil leg could stretch so far.
She actually tipped the dish over & was moving the food stuff toward her tongue. Her tongue also stretches to be quite long. She is a very determined lil girl.
Edith has a chance at a new home. Probably meet with them this coming Monday. Hope it works. She is so sweet & feelin' better today.
Thanks to everyone who has voted for us in the Challenge & who are continuing to vote.
As of this morning we were at 1113 overall, moving up from 2900 when we started. In WA we are at 24 today - up from 83 when we started. You all had a lot to do with this. THANK YOU!
Mom took a video clip of me & Chica doing what we do best - playing... Actually she ended up with 2 of them. The 1st is OK but the 2nd shows us off a bit better.
Hope you enjoy & make it a great day!!

Milli's New Family,Baths, Shelter Challengs
Hi all our furiends, We have missed being here. Don't know what my secretary was doing but she certainly wasn't helping me with this. This is a pic of me after Mom gave me a bath and cut my hairs today. I feel absolutely bald. Mom assures me I still have lots of hair. She shortened the hair around my face. Said she wanted to see my eyes. Actually, I wanted the bath, but didn't think about it leading to a haircut. I am very good at getting bathed. I saw the sliding shower door things open and just jumped in. Waiting for Mom to get busy & wash me. That feels so good.!!! Then she blows dry my hair and cut it. I feel like a new boy~!
Here is Edith. She is so cute. Doesn't do a lot but is starting to show a personality. She can't bark so she dances and scratches the floor to let everyone know what she wants. She is eating & drinking water now.
Sasha & Chica checking peemail in the tall grasses. Not sure what they think they will find but sometimes cats & racoons & squirrels come thru the back yard.
Here we are standing watch over the back yard. The house behind where we are has CATS. They tease us so WE HAVE to bark & scare them away. Edith isn't much help. She watches us and then goes about her doing her own thing - wandering around the back yard and enjoying the freedom & grass.
Chica & me. We smelled something and thought we better check it out. Mom caught us starting to dig. Do you like our innocent looks??
Edith, likes the camera. She follows Mom around & even walks on the hardwood floors & stuff now.
Chica playing after her bath. But she is keeping a watch on Sasha.
Well, Sasha decided to see if Chica would share toys. Well... maybe a little bit but not for long.
Just a quick video clip of Chica & Milli playing on their last day. Milli went to her furever home on Saturday. We think she will have a great home. She is so sweet and they really seem to like her. She has a 10 year old sister named Maggie who is a Rat Terrier. They get along fine. We hope to get to see her sometimes...
Last but not least... Thank you all for helping with the shelter challenge. We keep moving up. We are moving up faster in the overall ratings than in WA -- but still moving up. There is about 6 weeks left. As of this morning, we were #1264 overall and up to 28 in WA. We got to get the WA peoples to get busy. Thanks to all of you who are voting - cuz you are helping us to move us overall!!!! Amazing - we started out about 2900 overall and 83 in WA.
Love you all!!!
