First Taste of Freedom!
Hi, Mom here. Chimps used in laboratory testing got their first taste of "freedom". Their first day outside in 40 years! This was on one of our local TV stations (KOMO) and is an amazing video.

Vacation ? we are back again
Hi furiends, it's me Lucas. We missed everybuddy but are back for a while. M is going to New York soon so D will be takin' care of us. We went to the cabin and had a great time with lots of sniffs to check out.
As you will see M went crazy with the flashy thing and mostly took pics of sunrises and sunsets.
M & D were working on some projects while we were there BUT we did gets lots of time for walks and sniffs. M & D put up a railing so they could let us loose on the deck. They block the stairways so we stay close. We didn't see any but there have been lots of bear, coyote, & cougar. Chica and I are pretty small (so they tell us). We heard about a family who had 2 of their dogs killed by coyotes. NOT so good.
Ernie resting on the boot box.. He likes this spot because he can either watch out the window or rest up for the next outdoor trip.
Chica still trying to burrow in and get comfortable. She thinks she is a princess and needs lots of cush. Ernie & I not so much.
Didn't you just take a picture???? What's with you M.... we need our rest for the next outdoor trek......Enough already...
Here I am all handsome... Sometimes "they" call me Batman... What's with that?
Sunset... M took lots of pics of this sunset.
We think she really liked the unusual "circle of light"
Have a good week everyone and enjoy.

Lincoln Park
He everybuddy and furiends, It's Chica and Lucas and it's our turn to woof about our Lincoln Park adventure. One of our MOST favorite places to go that is close to home.
After we left the beach and climbed the hill, we could look down on the beach and see the sparkly sun on the water. I heard Mom say it was beautiful. She could say that BUT we are so close to the ground we didn't really get a good look. So we took her word for it.
We had a fun walk and got lots of exercise. We went up hills and down hills and wandered along sniffing for a looooong time. We slept good that night. Had good dreams.
We woof you a good day!
Chica and Lucas - oh and also Ernie and Sasha
The ferry is getting ready to dock and unload and load again. Sometimes it gets furry busy with lots of cars and peoples loading up to go across the waters.
When we got to this end of the beach we saw lots of people fishing. One man caught a piece of driftwood and another got a fish but it fell off his line. Hope someone actually caught one.

On the trail following behind Sammy's Dad. He has the best treats! He Always has one for us. We like him and his Chicken Jerky isn't bad either.
Think a leaf tickled Chica's back foot. She was high stepping over it.
There were lots of sniffs along this trail and it was cool. It felt good being in the shade for a bit.
Guess Mom liked this view. She added 2 pics almost the same.
A few more fishermen. Dogs aren't supposed to go down to the beach here. Sometimes we see dogs what sneaked (maybe with some help from pawrents) onto the beach to play in the water.
Looking out over the water past the ferry dock.
We woof you a good day!

Dogs Best Friend & Lab puppy AC
A Dogs Best Friend
Happy Friday All!!
Ernie& Sasha - Chica & Lucas too
OLord, don't let me once forget
How I love my trusty pet-
Help me learn to disregard
canine craters in my yard
Show me how to be a buddy
even when my sofa's muddy,
Don't allow my pooch to munch
postal carriers for lunch,
Shield my neighbor's cat from view,
guide my steps around the doo,
Train me not to curse and scowl,
when it's puppy's night to howl,
Grant I shan't awake in fear
with a cold nose in my ear,
Give me patience without end-
Help me be "A DOG'S BEST FRIEND."

One cute puppy!!! AND Dolly & babies
Saw this cute video of a baby Pomeranian getting into her roots or should I say her wolf background. She is VERY cute. Hope you enjoy.
Good News!! Dolly was adopted into a loving and caring family. She is such a sweet dog and after her babies were weaned she found she could blossom and have fun. She was a wonderful Mom to her pups.
Congrats Dolly now known as Opal or Opie (her nickname). So happy she is in a loving forever home!!
When she was spayed, her uterus disintegrated in the Vet's hands. She is very lucky both she and the 4 babies survived OK. Love you Dolly.
This is Spike. He was adopted and also found a loving forever home!!!!What a sweetie~
Brutus is still looking for his forever home. There are some people interested in him. Good luck to you little guy. Another sweetie!
Bones was adopted!!! Congratulations!! Good job sweet little guy!
Lula was adopted BUT was returned after less than 24 hours because she whined that night!!! What's with some people. She is a real sweetheart too. Good luck Lula may the next adopter be the ONE!
It was a wonderful experience fostering these 5. Never a dull moment. The little ones could make even cleaning up their poop fun. If that is possible. So loving and full of energy and happiness. I miss them.
Hope you all have a good week. Thank you Ernie for turning over the posting to me for today.

Missed you all!
Hey furiends, We finally made it back. M & D took a break from fostering and went to the cabin. All was good until I hurt my leg. I was having a GREAT time running, feeling the wind whip thru my ears THEN something went wrong. I couldn't or maybe didn't want to put my foot down. That was pretty much the end of my freedoms and running. M & D made me be quiet, just walking and being leashed. 3 or 4 days of that and I was feeling MUCH better. At one point, when they opened the door, I sneaked through. Wanted to try out my leg. It was fine! k
It was HOT and we spent a lot of time inside except in the cooler part of the morning and in the evening. Didn't get a lot of time outside. M got Chica and Lucas to pose. Notice how Chica "hogs" the picture by blocking Lucas with her ear.
there was a brush fire across the hill from us. This is one of the planes that were involved in putting out the fire. Lucky it wasn't too big and people spotted it early on so they were able to get it out before it spread too far. They had spotter planes, helicopter getting water out of the lake, and 2 large planes from Canada dropping retardant. M got some pics but they weren't very good.
This is Bonaparte Lake. It is very beautiful.
One of the wildflowers M saw.

Chipmunk checking things out on the workbench. He was getting pretty friendly. I sure would have liked to chase him BUT M said I couldn't. boring.......
Sunset again
Glad to be back.
