No more cabin fever!! Cow eyewatch??

Whoo!!! it has been VERY hot. The other day it was 103 degrees. Not the usual thing for Seattle. It has been hot for awhile and is getting old. We were so happy to be outside and playing and running. This is us after a good playtime in the backyard. We were pretty pleased with ourselves in the picture above. This picture shows part of the reason. This is COW one of our favorite stuffies. We each had one. If you ask me, this is Sasha's. Mine is still in fine shape and is in the house. We are trying to convince Mom to give it back to us so we can continue "murdering" it. We were having so much fun!!!!
Poor Cow!!! not much left. Mom usually tries to do surgery but this one is beyond that. Since it is eyewatch Friday - - - Do Mr. Cow's eyes count????? What fun - - tugging and running and growling and stuff. Mom just took pictures and let us play. Whooo Hooo!!!!
This was a tough one. It took us awhile and we were getting hot playing tug with this one. Mom & Dad say Sasha lets me get away with a lot. She is so strong and she lets me win sometimes. BUT if you ask me. I am the best!!!
A lot of shaking of our heads goin' on.
Later it was time for a taste of ice cream. We sure love it. They let us lick the box. There just wasn't enough. Could have used more. After all it was a hot day.
Sasha & I sharing. We are best buds and we share a lot.
Below are a couple of video clips Mom took while we were playing and tugging. Getting rid of our cabin fever. Hope you enjoy. Now that she knows she can do video clips with her camera she seems to do it a lot. Says she likes to see us in action.

Thanks for visiting. We hope you have a fun weekend.

It's a well!!!!

We were at the cabin for about a week. Whoooo it was hot! BUT the good news is we now have a well and LOTS of water. We have 2 dog pools in our yard at home. Mom & Dad and going to take one of them up so we can cool off next time we go. The water is COLD and very clear. It tasted really good too. This Kubota backhoe can really dig. Mom said she was sure glad she didn't have to do the digging for the trenches. We might have helped her, but she wasn't sure we would dig fast enough or deep enough in the right places. She figured we might get distracted or something.
This is the drill rig and they finished drilling the well and are putting in the casings.
It was so hot and with all the equipment being used Sasha & I had to stay in the cabin most of the time. We did get to come out and look around but had to be on our leashes. Not much fun for us. Since it was so hot, we didn't feel like doing much anyway.
Mom was busy taking pictures and video clips of other stuff, clouds, the drilling etc. At night when we were there were humongous thunderings, lightnings, and rain. It was good we had rain because of all the lightning strikes. Less scary about fires starting. Very high fire danger. Sasha & I on guard duty. She told me she had my back. I guess she was leaving it all up to me to take care of things. hee hee!!
Hope you all have a fun week. It's supposed to be hot this week too!

Happy Friday!!

Hi everyone, We are getting ready to go on an "adventure". We are going to be at the cabin for a bit. We will miss all of you but will make up for lost time when we get back. Our humans are going to be getting something called a well. Sounds good nto us. They say we'll have water to play in and cool off in. We are keeping all our paws crossed that they do find water!!!! Sasha likes her scarves. I think she looks good in blue.
I like my scarves too. I think the hot red chilis look especially good on my black shiny coat.

Mom tried something new with her camera. She actually shot a SHORT movie of me and Sasha playing with our stuffies. It is so hot outside we aren't doing much today. If we're lucky maybe we can talk Mom into taking us down to the beach. Hope all of you have a good and fun next few days. We heard it's going to be over 100 degrees where we will be. Maybe we can also work on M & D getting an air conditioner some day!!???

Water time!!!!

We went for a long walk today. We "talked" Mom into taking us to the beach. With both Sasha & I pulling her towards the beach, she gave in and we went and played for awhile before we went for the long walk back up the hill. Sasha gets very excited and can hardly wait until Mom throws the stick back out into the water. Sometimes she gets so excited she barks LOUD. Even hurts her own ears we think.
This is a view down the beach. It is lots of fun there. Mom lets us off the leash at the top of the hill and Sasha & I run down the trail. Sometimes we have to check on Mom & run back up the trail to check on her if we can't see her. Then we take off back down towards the beach.
Here I am enjoying the big stick I found. Mom threw it way out ( well, at least as far as she can throw) and I went out into the deeper water swimming to fetch it. I am so good. Sasha had done a lot of fetching the stick and then as usual, she found a smell of something in the water and started looking for it. She likes to do this a lot. She has found half eaten pears, rotten old tennis balls, & stuff like that. I love to swim and get in the water. I didn't like it too much when we first went down to the water. But it didn't take me long to decide it was a lot of fun and very cooling on a hot day. Sure feels good. I have been told I get very frisky.
Mom told me to sit and tried to get a picture of my long tongue with all of its black spots. I decided Ididn't really want to show how long it was so I only let it out a bit. I don't show my tongue spots at just any old time. I am particular.
Sasha smiles a lot. I really like her. She is my bestest friend.!! Mom caught this picture of me being"shy" I am not this way very often.
We got a couple of new stuffies. They are way COOOOL. I went around and collected them (even Sasha's when she wasn't looking) from downstairs and took them upstairs. Mom came upstairs and found me with them. She made a big deal out of the fact I had them all lined up in a row.
We want to thank everyone who visits us and those who leave comments. We have met a lot of nice pups from all over and their humans. It is fun. Have a fun week!!

4th 0f July visit

We went to a Bar B Q on the 4th of July and got to visit with our Uncle Rich & Aunt Deb and of course our cousin Murphy. We had a lot of fun playing. This was just before they put us outside to play. We all ran and played and it was nice because there was the pool. The 2 big dogs kind of hogged
it. Isn't he cute or is it handsome? He likes to cross his paws. This seems to be a favorite way for him to lay. Told you he really likes his pool. They had to fill it up a couple of times. Murphy runs so hard he has to cool off. He plays until he about drops. Lots of energy!!!
Here is a cutie pie. She was visiting with her Mom & Dad. She is about 2 years old.
This is another real cutie. Her name is CC. That is short for Chinese Crested. They told us she is the Powder Puff variety.
CC has the sweetest personality and is so soft. She travels with her Mom & Dad who are retired.
We had a great time visiting and playing and sniffing everyone. Sasha really liked CC. She likes little dogs. Even I liked her. She smelled good.
Have a good weekend.

Noisy Bull

Sasha & I were playing and having lots of fun. I am doing my favorite thing - - - playing keepaway with Sasha. We both really like this orange squeaky thing. But since I am younger and Much faster than Sasha - - well you know the rest.
I heard some terrible noise. Sounded like groaning & bellering. I am checking it out.
So that's what it is - - - cows passing by. The one toward the top of or middle of the picture is the BULL. He is big. He also just walks around bellering, groaning and stuff. He is checking out the lady cows. Mostly they don't seem too interested in him.
He is heading toward the group by the trees. He just finished pawing the ground. They didn't seem impressed.
There he goes again. Pawing the dirt!!!! Trying to impress the "ladies" It didn't work.
One time we had a herd of horses thunder past. We could hear something coming but weren't sure what it was until they came right past the cabin. They were beautiful and Mom &
Dad thought they had been running for quite a while. Their tongues were hanging out and they figured something might have scared them.
Hope you all had a good and fun weekend.
Kisses

More Cabin Fun

Some of the wildflowers at the cabin. Taken before Mom had to mow them down. Fire danger and all. Can;t let them go and get dry AND tall. Here we are on the hunt for critters. We know they are in there!!!!!
Please can we have some!!! Please Please
Maggie was rambunctious. So her mom held on to her collar.
We just can't stay away from this. We see and smell them. They can't hide forever.
Here I am standing vigil. They got to come out sometime!!!!
Chewy on the left and Maggie on the right. They were wound up today and wanted to jump up on Dad and give him kisses. Dad has enough trouble walking so their mom held them.
Feeding the babies. Such a tiny bird.
Can you imagine - - Mom actually caught a picture of this little one in flight.
Have a good 4th. More later.
Wags & wiggles
