Anthrax - Persistence Of Time

Genre: Thrash
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 1990

1. Time
2. Blood
3. Keep It In The Family
4. In My World
5. Gridlock
6. Intro To Reality
7. Belly Of The Beast
8. Got The Time
9. H8 Red
10. One Man Stands
11. Discharge

5th album by Anthrax. This is the last release with Belladonna behind the mic (he'll rejoin later) and it marks the end of an era for the group. The humour, found in earlier releases, seems to be absent, while a more dark and serious profile is shown. Unique and clever songwritting performed with excellent musicianship.

Anthrax - State Of Euphoria

Genre: Thrash
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 1988

1. Be All, End All
2. Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind
3. Make Me Laugh
4. Antisocial (Trust cover)
5. Who Cares Wins
6. Now It's Dark
7. Schism
8. Misery Loves Company
9. 13
10. Finale

4th album by Anthrax. Mixing the melodic approach of 'Spreading The Disease' and the thrashiness of 'Among The Living', this release perfected the creative and original direction that Anthrax had been developing. Often criticised as Anthrax's weakest album and that's why the band step down to simpler riffs and song structures that put a few people off.

Anthrax - Among The Living

Genre: Thrash
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 1987

1. Among The Living
2. Caught In A Mosh
3. I Am The Law
4. Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.)
5. A Skeleton In The Closet
6. Indians
7. One World
8. A.D.I. / Horror Of It All
9. Imitation Of Life

3rd album by Anthrax. With 'Among The Living' the sound of Anthrax became a lot heavier and less melodic while still preserving and even increasing a certain cartoony feel. The band is absolutely in top-form on every moment of the album.

Anthrax - Worship Music

Genre: Thrash/Heavy
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 2011

1. Worship
2. Earth On Hell
3. The Devil You Know
4. Fight ‘Em Til You Can’t
5. I’m Alive
6. Hymn 1
7. In The End
8. The Giant
9. Hymn 2
10. Judas Priest
11. Crawl
12. The Constant
13. Revolution Screams

10th album by Anthrax. The band retains their thrash metal roots as you'll hear in the meanest and heaviest riffs that they've come up with in a while. The music is great, moving from thrash to heavy/speed, but more noticably is the absolutely brilliant vocal work of Belladonna here.

Anthrax - Spreading The Disease

Genre: Thrash
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 1985

1. A.I.R.
2. Lone Justice
3. Madhouse
4. S.S.C./Stand Or Fall
5. The Enemy
6. Aftershock
7. Armed And Dangerous
8. Medusa
9. Gung-Ho

2nd album by Anthrax. This was the first full-length album to feature Joe Belladonna who was one of the most distinctive singers in the genre at that time, mainly because he really sang in a rather melodic style which was quite exceptional and really made Anthrax stand out from the rest. It was clear that the band had started to develop their style into something unique.

Anthrax - Fistful Of Metal

Genre: Thrash/Speed
Country: U.S.A.
Year: 1984

1. Deathrider
2. Metal Thrashing Mad
3. I'm Eighteen (Alice Cooper cover)
4. Panic
5. Subjugator
6. Soldiers Of Metal
7. Death From Above
8. Anthrax
9. Across The River
10. Howling Furies

Debut album by Anthrax, with a lineup of Scott Ian, Dan Lilker, Neil Turbin, Charlie Benante and Dan Spitz. Lots of thunderous, fast and catchy riffs is to be found on this album. There are definitely some traditional heavy metal influences on here that would be replaced on later records by more, repetitive straight-up thrashing. Each song here is good in its own way and noone gets bored of this album easily.
