2nd album by Lord Mantis, featuring 2 members of Nachtmystium and Indian's drummer. The band introduces us 7 tracks in 46 minutes of some punishing blackened sludge. Nice sense of balance maintained towards black and sludge. The guitars are tuned low. The vocals range from high pitched wails to gurgling low-end growls to tortured rasps. One of the highlights of the album is the horror aspect it gives off from the production.

Debut self-released album by Bran Barr. It can't reach the quality of their 2nd masterpiece, but it shows the roots of the band. Raw and rough black metal with screams, growls, clean vocals, folky instruments and acoustic passages. There are great moments but they are not enough and they are scattered here and there. A lot of early Cruachan influences.
