Demon - Night Of The Demon

Genre: NWOBHM/Hard Rock
Country: England
Year: 1981

1. Full Moon
2. Night Of The Demon
3. Into The Nightmare
4. Father Of Time
5. Decisions
6. Liar
7. Big Love
8. Ride The Wind
9. Fool To Play The Hard Way
10. One Helluva Night

Debut album by Demon. One of the best components of Demon is vocalist Dave Hill, who is unique for being one of the few heavy metal singers to sing in a clean, relatively deep voice. Their NWOBHM flirts a lot with hard rock elements, that in later releases will be fiewer.

2nd album by Ozzy Osbourne. The lineup is the same as their debut: Osbourne, Rhoads, Daisley and Kerslake. Rhoads’ enormous talent shines through, trumping his already legend-making performance on Blizzard Of Ozz. Ozzy shines once again on vocals and together with his incredible band delivers a dark, timeless masterpiece.

Iron Maiden - Killers

Genre: Heavy/NWOBHM
Country: England
Year: 1981

1. The Ides Of March
2. Wrathchild
3. Murders In The Rue Morgue
4. Another Life
5. Genghis Khan
6. Innocent Exile
7. Killers
8. Prodigal Son
9. Purgatory
10. Drifter

2nd album by Iron Maiden. This album is the last with vocalist Paul Di'Anno and it also marks the arrival of Adrian Smith in guitars. Incredible basslines driving along a twin quitar attack that assaults with blistering solos on nearly every song, backed by some excellent drumming by Clive Burr, all with Di'Anno's ballsy and aggressive vocals thrown into the mix.

Accept - Breaker

Genre: Heavy
Country: Germany
Year: 1981

1. Starlight
2. Breaker
3. Run If You Can
4. Can't Stand the Night
5. Son Of A Bitch
6. Burning
7. Feelings
8. Midnight Highway
9. Breaking Up Again
10. Down And Out

3rd album by Accept. There are hints of Judas Priest throughout and AC/DC, but overall they don't come off as sounding derivative at all. Udo's wails are as high and raw as ever and the guitarwork of Wolf Hoffman is catchy as hell. It's a very consistent album, without any songs that stand out as weak.

Venom - Welcome To Hell

Genre: Heavy/NWOBHM/Black
Country: England
Year: 1981

1. Sons Of Satan
2. Welcome To Hell
3. Schizo
4. Mayhem With Mercy
5. Poison
6. Live Like An Angel (Die Like A Devil)
7. Witching Hour
8. One Thousand Days In Sodom

Venom's shocking debut was the scene of a bloody, head-on collision between Black Sabbath's original heavy metal commandments and lyrical obsessions with all things demonic, and Motorhead's unparalleled distortion and breakneck speed. It crystallized the elements of what later became known as thrash, death, black and virtually every other form of extreme metal.
