The Look: Memories of Huskies and Gingerbread Houses

Image
#FlashbackFriday ~ FiveSibes "Chloe" ~ Christmas 2015     "THE LOOK"   T his year, I was making gingerbread houses with my two grandkiddos and it always brings joy...and some frustration when the house decides to collapse! But then we rebuilt it, and ate some of it along the way! It brought back memories of when we built a gingerbread house with the FiveSibes...oh, they sure were interested when they caught whiffs of all the yumminess...only, it was for the humans in the family, not them. (At least not this version). This is *the* look I received from Chloe when I advised her of this, and while I'm chuckling, she meant business when she realized she and the other Sibes were not getting any! (No worries, though, they did get some special homemade treats just for them).   "Enjoy the moments while you are in them...be present...for they become memories far too soon, but memories that will always bring back smiles for those moments of joy were well spent with ...

When Santa Paws Came to Visit Our FiveSibes Huskies!

Image
Santa Paws sure did come to town, and our house!   This will always be one of the most fun and special Christmas moments with my FiveSibes. Santa came to visit them at our home! "Santa" was amazing, and they all loved the visit so much! You can see how they took turns giving Santa their kisses...now, maybe they knew who Santa was, or they were just very excited to meet the jolly elf in person, but it was a wonderful time and I'm forever grateful to Santa (a/k/a Kat from their veterinarian hospital) and this will forever be one of the holiday season highlights for me!            đź’š Memories Are Visits For the Heart đź’š             Back to our Home Page and Our Other Pages, including Our About the Breed Page and Our #LiveGibStrong On-Line K-9 Epilepsy Resource Page, ArcticHouse Books & Gifts Shoppe & so much more!  Just click on "More" Pages at top of blog .

That's A Christmas Wrap, Gibson!

Image
Gibson was a busy elf helping me to wrap! Or, did he just want the tube?!    And that was a fun wrap! A Christmas wrap, as in wrapping paper, that is! I remember this Christmas Eve Eve so clearly...and how my Wolfie could not be bothered, but Gibson stepped into the role of Husky Elf and was totally into the wrapping paper! What a fun night this was!  Do your dogs help you wrap?   “Today is next year’s Christmas Memory. Make it one that you will always cherish, and be sure to enjoy every single moment.” ~Unknown       đź’š Memories Are Visits For the Heart đź’š            Back to our Home Page and Our Other Pages, including Our About the Breed Page and Our #LiveGibStrong On-Line K-9 Epilepsy Resource Page, ArcticHouse Books & Gifts Shoppe & so much more!  Just click on "More" Pages at top of blog .

A Very Merry FiveSibes Christmas Slumber Party on #FlashbackFriday

Image
#Flashback Christmas Photo ~ FiveSibes (starting at bottom): Harley, Gibson, Bandit on the chair, Chloe on the sofa, and Wolfgang on the right) ~ Christmas 2014   This is still one of my favorite Christmas memories of yesteryear with all five of my Huskies. I haven't shared it in a few years, but I was thinking of how the nights leading up to Christmas was as if they knew something incredible was coming. In this Flashback from nine Christmases ago, we were all settled in for movie night and when I returned with snacks, Bandit had stolen my chair and all five were patiently waiting for me (or me and the treats)!    “Christmas is a bridge. We need bridges as the river of time flows past. Today’s Christmas should mean creating happy hours for tomorrow and reliving those of yesterday.” ~Gladys Taber       đź’š Memories Are Visits For the Heart đź’š         Come join us each week and share your fave Memory Lane pics from yesteryea...

When the Huskies Christmas Future Was Waiting

Image
Flashback ~ Pupsters "twins" Chloe & Wolfie ~ Christmas 2012   “Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas.”    ~ Peg Bracken   Like so many memorable moments with my FiveSibes, I remember this one from Christmastime 11 years ago so very clearly. What you cannot see from this photo, is that I am sitting right there on the loveseat to the right of them watching as they sniffed excitedly at the present, thinking about how lucky and blessed I was to be their FiveSibesMom...and be celebrating the most wonderful time of year together. I'm not sure who was more excited about gift time, me buying and wrapping presents for them, or them, sniffing out and opening all the presents! At this exact moment in time, the "Pupsters" Chloe, Wolfie, and Bandit were just three years old, Gibson four, and Harley six, and oh, the future was full of fun adventures waiting ahead of us.     đź’š Memories Are Visits For the H...
