Remembering Our Sweet Chatty Pupster, Chloe

Image
"You left your sweet pawprints on our hearts."   ~Dorothy "FiveSibesMom" There wasn't a sweeter dog. This girl, although the chattiest of our FiveSibes, and the loudest of our #Pupsters trio, she was the sweetest, most easy going dog. She loved her meals and treats and would let know - loudly, impatiently, and continuously - that she wanted them, and now! BOL! She would sit like an angel and verbalize her wishes until the dish or treat was given to her! When my first grandchild arrived, she would lay in her dog bed in the living room and watch him play and eventually walk, and drop his yogurt bites!  Chloe with my grandson!   Sadly, that was the first clue when she became suddenly ill. She didn't want any snacks. Then she turned her nose away from food. At first, I thought it was just a tummy bug as they all had from time to time. Plus, she had just had her annual check-up four month prior and all was perfect. So, needless to say, when she stopped eating a...

Snow is for Sibe Snow Dogs!

Snowy #FiveSibes Flashback ~ 2017   "Snow flurries began to fall and they swirled around....It was magical, this snow globe world.” ~Sarah Addison Allen    'T is the season for snow! Oh, how my beloved huskies loved snow day, it was in their snow dog DNA. Even before the first flake softly swirled down, it was almost as though they felt it and the excitement would build until I let them out into the yard! I love this pic of my Pupsters Chloe, Wolfgang, and Bee with our alpha queen Harley! We sure missed Gibson (who earned his wings two years before), but on snow days, it always felt so special! And even now, when it snows, I know it's a message from my beloved FiveSibes. Snow will always hold a special place in this FiveSibesMom's heart.   Now, I know not all dogs love the snow like Huskies do with their double coats and snow dog DNA. Even my FiveSibes ( although it took some enticing with snacks and fun indoor things to do ) e...

Winter Solstice: A Tribute to Our Beloved Snow Dogs

Image
T he longest night...we light a candle in memory of each of our beloved FiveSibes snow dogs—Harley, Gibson, Wolfie, Chloe, and Bandit and also our beloved Sandy and Chelsey (and honorary Husky kitty Smokie) who have all earned their furangel wings. Winter Solstice is a time to pay tribute to these amazing northern breed dogs who loved snow so very much. I like to think of my fab five all together once again having snow zoomies north of the Rainbow Bridge...and...in their own special way, they once again sent me snow today to let me know they are always with me. ❄️ There used to be a site to post tributes to our Siberian Huskies on the Solstices, but sadly it is no longer up. Instead, we share it here on our blog and our FiveSibes: Siberian Husky K9 News & Reviews Facebook page where you can also post a pic of your beloved snow dog under our Winter Solstice post.          Back to our Home Page for the MENU to visit Our #LiveGibStrong On-Line K...
