FiveSibes #Flashback ~ "Gibson" ~ October 3, 2014   W elcome, October! What a wonderful time of year here with the foliage changing into an array of vibrant colors. A beautiful time of year. A beautiful dog. I always loved going for walks with my beloved boy, Gibson, hearing the crunching of leaves underfoot as we strolled the neighborhood. Upon our return, we'd sit outside together in the quiet and just enjoy the day and each other's company. I always had a blast hitting the pet supply store to stock up on fun fall toys for all five (much to the surprise of the checkout clerk). One such fun find is the pumpkin above with Gib. This photo was taken on this exact date, 11 years ago. Just look at his sweet, beautiful face. He was truly an old soul and my furry best friend. Oh, how I miss those quiet relaxing days with my Sibes the most. I am so very thankful for always having a camera with me and capturing so many special moments on film so I can now relive them all over...

Flashback Photo ~ Wolfgang ~ November 2021   "I believe in love at first sight and hindsight." ~Richard Madden I love this photo of Wolfie. I feel like when I was photographing him down at his height, we really could connect. On this particular day, I can't recall exactly what caught his attention, but I'm going to guess my grandchildren came running into the yard. After all the others in his FiveSibes pack family had earned their wings, Wolf really missed them. Thankfully, the love of my very young grandchildren brought him out of his grief.  The bond he formed with them, my grandson in particular, brought Wolfie so much much-needed joy. And Wolfie in return, brought so many moments of joy for the kids. My grandson bonded with Wolfie as well as Harley, Chloe, and Bandit from infancy. So Wolfie already had a bond, but when he was solo dog, it was if that bond became something magical. I can still hear the giggles of the kids from playing with him. Wolfie may have bee...

 #FiveSibes Flashback ~ "Gibson" ~ May 2015       Ah, to know Gibson was to love him, and laugh. This boy was born a comedian. He was a special soul, my heart dog for always. He always managed to bring a smile - or chuckle - to me! This boy had a huge personality - and it was great. He had a zest for life and truly loved every moment of it. Yes, he had epilepsy, but this boy never let it keep him down, nor did it ever do anything to dampen his joy. Once in a lifetime along comes that more-than-special dog soul, and he was mine. Pictured here, is just one of the many Silly Gibbie moments. I was in my room, organizing my disaster of a walk-in closet. When I came out, there was Gibson all comfy waiting for me...and holding my tossed empty hangers with his big beautiful paw, as if to say, "Here, I'm helping you, Mom."  Yup, G, you still have me laughing. 💜🥰 I hope this fond Flashback brought a smile or chuckle to you, too. Enjoy every small little moment of life. ...

Translated to "Long Long Ago," this week's Flashback is dating back to what will be the 8th New Year since my this photo was taken to when me and my FiveSibes were welcoming in the New Year of 2015, with my beloved boy Gibson patiently posing for me in his New Year headpiece, and then getting all five to pose for a family pack photo! Holidays were always so much fun with my FiveSibes.    PS: yellow dot on right side of couch of is one of the dogs' tennis ball! BOL!
