Bluebells

Hi There! So sorry I haven't been around Blog land much for a couple of weeks. I was busy working on samples and then my laptop decided to stop working. It has taken a little while to sort out a new one and install most things, but I am back now, hopefully without having lost too much. It is a bit of a rigmarole to transfer photos from my camera until I get a card reader. My old laptop had a slot the right size but this one doesn't!

Anyway, here is something I can show you! This is a card made with the latest stamp from Crafty Individuals. It is a stunning bluebell sketch by Jean. This is on a 7"x7" card so you can see the stamp is a really good size. You can find it here.

I stamped it on a background created with Pretty Gets Gritty explosion powders and coloured with arteza metallic watercolours. The sheen really doesn't show in the photo, which is a shame! The base card was stencilled with distress inks (mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch and wilted violet) and a That's Crafty mandala stencil.

How is it going? I hope you are okay. We are looking forward to being able to go a little further for a walk and meet up with Meg and Grant too. We haven't seen them in the flesh since Christmas.

Thanks for looking!

Crafty Individuals on Hochanda next week!

The lovely Jean Hardy will be taking some brand new Ellie Mulligan stamps and loads of gorgeous samples on to Hochanda on Friday (12th February) at 10am and 2pm. Make sure you don't miss the Crafty Individuals shows!

Here are a couple of the samples I made for Jean using the Ellie Mulligan lion king stamp CI-524.

The first was stamped over a background of smooshed distress oxides in crackling campfire, speckled egg and peacock feathers. I fussy cut it and then brayered a background in 3 shades of aqua/blue chalk paint. I used a That's crafty stencil and gold paint on the background before adhering the lion using 3d foam pads to the front.
For my second card I smooshed the background with the same colours then stamped it with a range of Flo Langley's background stamps. I stamped the lion onto kraft card adding a little coloured pencil to emphasize his features and again used 3d foam. The sentiment was stamped and embossed onto jade parchment paper and folded over the corner.

Thanks for looking!

More 'Make it Colourful' inspiration

It is mid-way through June so time for our mid-month inspiration for Stamping Sensations where the theme is

***Make it Colourful!***

Our Sponsors this month are Visible Image. My mid-month creation was made with That's Crafty stamps and stencil with a distress ink background. I simply wet the stencil then layed it over the ink to get the watermark effect. I coloured the flowers with arteza brush pens.
I do hope you get chance to enter the challenge.

Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments.
