A lovely day

We had a lovely day out yesterday. Steve has Mondays off, as he works on Saturdays, so we decided to visit the Chestnut Centre at Chapel-en-le-Frith. It is an otter and owl sanctuary and this was one of many otters we watched playing. Photos of the owls were a little more difficult, as were photos of the elusive scottish wild cat. On the way back we popped in to Brierlow Bar bookstore, coming out with three or four books each - whoops! Anyway, when we got home I put this together.

The background paper was made using creative colour sprays and a Twiddlybitz flourish as a mask (Crafty Notions). The stamps are from Crafty Individuals - from a sheet of their crafty elements range. The small leaves are punched. I finished it off with a few rainbow drops - also from Crafty Notions.

Blue butterfly

I bought a value pack of cream cards and and found about half had some red and brown fibres in them that were rather ugly. I wasn't going to throw them away, but I needed to find ways of covering up the fibres. I decided to spray the entire card with creative colour sprays (Crafty Notions). I used some Twiddley Bitz (also from Crafty Notions) as stencils and sprayed over them too. The stamp is the butterfly from the ISC friendship plate, which I embossed with clear embossing powder over black ink. I painted it with more creative colour sprays. The ribbon is from crafty notions, sold as Sari ribbon, and the three little beads are 'rainbow drops' (again from crafty notions).
