New Stamps!

Hi There! Did you see the new stamps from bee crafty that were launched yesterday? Here are my samples...

For this I used 3 colours of distress oxide ink - Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. The flowers were coloured with alcohol markers.
This mandala stamp fits perfectly in the centre of the mandala inkable. This was Tea dye, Fossilised Amber and Peeled Paint Distress ink.
I stamped in Versamark ink and brushed using Mica  powders on the left and Embossed the Moonflower stamp in silver on the right hand page before painting with metallic paint.
The background stamp was inked with Mustard seed, Spiced marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress ink. The flower was coloured with Alcohol Markers.

The journal page was sprayed with Dylusions sprays and Distress spritz. The flowers were coloured with alcohol markers
The background on this card was inked with Distress oxide inks. I used a tag inkable from set one and a wordy sticker
Finally here's my card from my Facebook live yesterday. I really enjoyed making it.

I will be back playing with the new stamps tonight at 8pm over on the Facebook page
Hope you can join me! Thanks for looking!

New Bee Crafty stamps and D'inkables samples

Hi There! Did you see the new stamps and dinkables from Bee Crafty launched yesterday? Here are the samples I made with them. For the first I used distress oxide inks in crackling campfire and uncharted mariner.
My second sample used resist technique using clear embossing over a distress oxide background.
My Hey Sunshine card was made by smooshing some mixed media card, then adding to the background with stamps and the new dinkables. The flowers were stamped onto watercolour card and coloured using ecoline pens.
This concertina card was made with Distress oxide sprays, texture paste and watercoloured flowers.
This is a simple single layer card with leaves and sentiment heat embossed in copper.
I decided to use autumn colours to stamp the leaves, masking off a strip using tape, that was then used to stamp the sentiment.

Finally here is the card I made during my live yesterday
You can find the bundle here but only for today.

The new stamps and inkables are:

Journaling Essentials #4

Journaling Essentials #5

D'inkables set 13

Thanks for looking! I hope you can join me live at 8pm over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page.

Bee Monarchy Samples

Hi There! Did you manage to join us for the Bee Monarchy relaunch on Tuesday? These are some of the samples I made. The first pair of cards I made during my live.
This one used the scripted bee stamp in the background and the stitched borders.
I painted the MDF using dylusions paints and added black gesso through the Honeycomb full inkable
This older sample was stamped and stitched, and the background was sprayed through the Honeycomb multi inkable.
This was another older sample using honeycomb multi, Scripted Bee and the 4" hexagon easy frame.
I created backgrounds for these pages using a piece of catalyst paper and scribble sticks on the left and dylusions sprays painted on, on the right. Both of the bees on these journal pages were stamped on Bee Crafty stamping tissue.
Texture discs and catalyst papers made the background on this sample.

This was my blog post last week, so there is a step by step for it.

For my live on Wednesday I had a play with Alcohol inks. I used a technique I learned from Kate Crane in my Grafix mixed media journal.
The background on this card also used the same alcohol ink technique on Dura-lar matte.

Crafty Individuals Birds

Hi There! I thought it was high time I showed you some of the cards I made for the last Crafty Individuals release. Jean will be back on Create and Craft on the first Friday in August with some gorgeous new stamps that I can't show you yet, but I can show you these.

These first two were stamped with the beautiful W for Wren drawn by our lovely Dora.

These two were both made with A is for Apple stamp, the first coloured like a Jay and the second like a female blackbird.  I love how colouring them differently can make them look like a different stamp.

You can find the new stamps that Dora designed here:

A is for Apple

B is for Bird

W is for Wren

G is for Goose

I will be back with more next week.

Before I go look who has been helping with the Ants in the lawn

I know some people get Great spotted woodpeckers on their feeders in the garden, but it is a first for us.

Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting!

Bee Crafty Inkables day

 Hi There!

Did you join in the Bee Crafty Inkables day fun? Here are my samples that I made using Inkables for  Thursday.

The background for the doodle art dragonfly used the circles dinkable from set 3, fernando big one and the 4" circle easy frame.
This card was made by blending distress oxide inks through Mandala 2 inkable.
Similarly this one was made using the welded music stencil.
The 6" octagon easy frame and 2 texture discs were used to make this card.
I used a gelly plate to create this Background with the Eclipse trellis big one and distress oxide inks. I also used the 4" circle easy frame.
I used an mdf tag, a tag inkable and the script inkable with texture paste and explosion powders to decorate it.
Finally here are the two cards I made during my live which you can find here

Bee Crafty Mandala samples

Hi there! Here are the samples I made with the brand new Bee Crafty Doodle Art Mandala stamps that were launched on Facebook last Tuesday. First are some shrink plastic earrings.
This mandala was stamped over a Dylusions paint background and coloured with gelly Roll moonlight pens.
This card was made using some shaving foam marbling made with dylusions sprays. The mandala was painted with the spray ink and layered up with 3d glue.
This was done in a similar way to the last card.
A simple silver embossed card that could be used for just about any special occasion, such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, engagement or general good news.
This one was gold embossed over a distress oxide background dried under scrunched cling film.
Simple stamping in 3 shades of distress oxide ink.
This one was stamped and embossed in black then coloured with ecoline pens.

This gatefold card has one mandala stamped over the base card and a second layered up to form the centrepiece of the card.
Like my teamie Ann, this mandala reminded me of roses, so I stamped it in distress oxide ink, adding leaves using a dinkable then doodling over them.
This card too was simply stamped with distress oxide inks before colouring and layering up one of the larger mandalas as a centrepiece.

Finally, Here is the card I made in the 6pm Facebook live on the day which you can find here on YouTube.
The Doodle Art Mandala bundle can be found here on the website.
Alternatively, Set one and set two are available separately.

A Vintage tag

Hi there! I have made another tag this week, and this time I have gone for a vintage vibe. Here is how I made it.

I began with a Dina Wakely size 10 mixed media tag. (I cut 2 cm from the bottom as I intend adding it to a journal page later.)

I used a blending brush to apply distress oxide inks over the whole tag.
I splattered water and sprayed a little Distress oxide spray in wild honey across the tag.
When it was dry I used the metalwork alpha 6x6 inkable to add the numbers top and bottom.
I stamped the dotty borders around the tag,

then added the smaller stamp from the ledger measure down the left side.
I stamped the pocket watch stamp (no longer available, but there is a pocket watch a little smaller that you could stamp then cut out on the other Ledger measure stamp) onto a book page using versafine clair pinecone ink . I blended a little distress oxide ink on it to age it and cut it out.

Using collage medium, I stuck it to the tag and left it to dry.
I stamped the Time sentiment in versafine clair ink onto a scrap of Dina Wakely collage paper and cut it out.
I worked out where I wanted to place each part of the sentiment before sticking it down with more collage medium.
Here is the finished tag with a gold mat and some lace and twine added.
This is what I used:
Pocketwatch stamp
Versafine Clair ink in Pinecone
Book page

Tomorrow, Bev and Sam are on The Craft Store at 1pm with some gorgeous new tag inkables that are a Must-have! Here is a sneaky peek at one of the samples.

I will be doing a Try it out Tuesday takeover Facebook Live tomorrow evening at 8pm over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page. Hope you can join me!
Thanks for looking and for all your lovely comments. They are very much appreciated.
